The Creekhouse - Waterfront Pocono Mountain House

Unplug and recharge with friends and family at this charming historic creek front mountain home.
Set in a secluded nook of the Poconos, this beautiful waterfront home features 3 bedrooms and gorgeous views of Bushkill Creek & Kahkout Mountain.

Perfect for couples or families looking to retreat to nature, fish, hike or ski Shawnee and Camelback.

2 fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, hammock, & fishing off the deck make it a wonderful outdoorsy getaway. Plus comforts of home with wifi, phone, 80" projector & rain-head shower.

Private, charming & secluded. 90 min from NYC. 2 hrs from Philly.

The entire house and property is accessible by guests, except for the shed and Ford Truck in the driveway.
The property is located on a private 10 mph gravel road. The road can be bumpy so please make sure to drive slowly and carefully. If you are staying with us during winter, a 4 wheel drive vehicle is recommended.

There is a shed on the property that is shared with our other property - the log cabin across the street. On the rare occasion that we need to access that shed, will do our very best to notify guests at least 15 minutes in advance.

We’re available by text, phone or email at all times. And just a short drive away if we need to come by.

Must be 25 years of age or older to rent, required submission of photo ID, guest list, and $300 refundable security after booking.

We do our best to ensure there is propane available for grills and/or fire pits, but cannot guarantee there will be propane for use throughout your stay. If all available tanks are empty, we ask that you refill a tank and provide a receipt for reimbursement. Note: be sure to refill/replace the existing tanks - do not purchase a brand new tank.

When drought, weather or other conditions present an unusual fire risk, a burn ban may be imposed by the local jurisdictions without prior notice. We are not responsible for any damages incurred for use or misuse of indoor fireplaces or outdoor fire pit.

Cabin feel with modern ammenities

This was exactly the type of rental I was hoping it would be. It had all the modern amenities but still had the feel of a cabin. The closeness to the creek was the showstopper though. Our kids would play in the creek for hours. We even bought a couple of blow up mats to float down the creek on. At night we cracked the sliding door open so we could listen to the creek. The only minor issue to think about when you plan to visit is that the fridge and freezer are smaller than normal.

Creekside is a special place in a magnificent setting. The surroundings are spectacular with many natural wonders to behold. The house has everything that one could want or need making it a place you never want to leave.

Most gorgeous vrbo setting on earth

This beautifully furnished cottage is literally catapulted over a rushing stream that circles three sides of the cabin. Pure heaven! plus accross the stream are dramatic limestone cliffs. Really really special.

Amazing!

The Creek House is simply amazing. We booked it for our honeymoon so we could relax after all the wedding excitement and have some quiet time together. The house is immaculately kept and decorated with an attention to detail. It is warm, inviting, and had every amenity you could possibly need. The creek is beautiful beyond words and we spent as much time as possible by the water; fishing, long walks, afternoon naps in the hammock, and fire pits at night. Eric and April were amazing hosts and so kind in congratulating us as newlyweds! Thank you for sharing such an amazing place!

wonderful relaxing home

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is beautifully decorated with nice antiques and modern conveniences. The view of the creek from the glass-encased room is amazing. Would definitely book again.

Our Secret Creekside Hideaway

We stayed at Eric’s house for five nights in early May. This place has it all - incredible location on the gorgeous and relatively secluded Bushkill Creek, and endless thoughtful amenities that feel simultaneously homey and luxurious. The description is accurate - the house is adjacent to a sparkling creek, and you just have to crack a window to hear the rushing water or step out on the porch to throw out a fishing line. This kitchen is beautifully outfitted with gleaming pans that put our home pots to shame. The location is great and adventurous guests can get to numerous hiking or biking trails within a 30 minute drive. There’s not a trail I’m aware of within walking distance, but you can walk up and down the creek road and the tubing would be good during warmer weather, though the creek might get low. Eric was very responsive to any question or concern and you can tell really wants you to have a perfect vacation. This house is so beautiful and peaceful, you might never be tempted to leave at all.

Heaven!

Thank you to Eric and family for opening up their home to renters. The location is perfect, right on the creek and you can hear the water from inside the house. The home is very cozy and well decorated. They have great taste! I hope I have the opportunity to stay again in the future.

Nature and Beauty!

My family had SUCH an amazing stay! The house was put together very nicely. All sorts of games/activities that the owners provided! (My little 1.5 year old did not even bother to play w/the toys we brought along!) The outdoor setting was the best! The grill, outdoor fire-pit, tubing, and just having the creek literally right outback of the house was the best part of our stay. The owners were great w/answering our questions/concerns. It was a lovely stay at the poconos! We will love to rent here again at some point in the future! 5 stars!!

**AMAZING COMFY NATURE SPOT**

One of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed at. Ridiculously beautiful location & kind host. The house is gorgeous & spacious, with an abundance of windows looking out on the river that wraps the property. In the Heart of Nature. Bald eagles were flying right past us as they hunted for fish along the river. Our three small kids had the time of their lives fishing, looking for frogs & swimming/tubing down the river. SUPER quiet road & just gorgeous. So good for the soul. Owner was super chill & helped with everything we needed — made us feel very cozy & comfy. It was hard to leave on check-out day! :D Would stay again here in a heartbeat!
