“My husband and I spent the weekend here, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and such a refreshing escape from the city. We enjoyed watching the birds, but the highlight for me was seeing the baby deer roaming around. It was magical. At night, the stars were breathtaking, and the quiet made it even more special. “The Sanctuary is a magical place carved into nature where for a short time the weary traveler can rest their body and their soul. The deer, beavers, swans and cranes were excellent hosts. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well furnished. The human hosts are also gracious and welcoming. I've stayed there twice and hope to return again. ”

“This little cottage is very rustic. Location is close to everything in Tawas. Had everything we needed only dowside was the stove had 2 burners we couldn't get to operate and the hot water wasn't constant and had a couple of cold showers. The views are just as posted it is the first cabin off the road so there is absolutely No breeze! It can get very warm. But we had a blast played board games at night and theres a little stereo in the corner we also brought CD's. Had a campfire saw about 12...

“Very cute place, nicely decorated. Very clean except couch was sandy so was the bed. We stayed in #9. The porch is unsafe. Very small you can step off the side or front on either side of steps, if you are not careful. You cannot see the lake from #9. You can walk out down a small sidewalk, onto the sand, then down to the lake. Very peaceful by the water. #9 is close to the main road US23. With the door open and screen closed. The traffic was loud. If I stay again I will ask for front place...
