“They could add body lotion to their hotel rooms and better desk chairs that are not worn out.”

“Parking when checking in is congested and difficukt to access. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice but pricey. Wish there were more amenities surrounding the hotel. Restuarant is in the open right in the front lobby and is awkward if you don't get a table away from everyone. ”

“In a somewhat dodgy part of downtown (Though there is seemingly always uniformed security in the lobby!) Building is quite run down, and overall the feel is that of a 1980's hotel which has undergone miminal upgrades. ”

“Overall a nice stay. Clean room, everything worked. Food was decent (burger very good). The proximity of the smaller bar area to the foyer's outside doors made dining while watching some sports quite cold with people coming in and out of the hotel.”

“The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. ”

“The location of Varscona Hotel is its absolute strongest asset. Being so central made exploring the area incredibly convenient; it really is the "key" to an stress-free trip. Beyond the location, I was very impressed with the rooms. They have been newly renovated and feel incredibly fresh and modern. I am highly recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, updated stay in Edmonton AB. I would definitely stay here again!”
