Private grounds, with room to play. The fall colours of the leaves were wonderful, especially sitting in the hottub with the sunset. Beautifully renovated with everything you could need. The hosts answer promptly and ensure you are well taken care of. Very close to nature trails. Highly recommend.

The most beautiful, comfortable cabin. Every detail, down to the labels on the light switches, has been curated with the comfort of the guests in mind. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything you could need, including a blender and even a crock pot! The luxurious walk in shower was such a treat, and the hot tub was amazingly relaxing. We stayed one night with our wedding party, and then got ready the next day for our wedding. The property was so beautifully maintained and we were able to comfortably have multiple groups get ready in the house, then relax and wait their turn for photos after.There was a glitch in the app and we didn’t receive our check in information on time, but when I contacted the host she was so gracious and sent me everything immediately. We also made the classic mistake of plugging in too many steamers at once and blew a breaker, and the host came so quickly to switch it back on for us. Just truly an immaculate experience from beginning to end. You can see so clearly how much love has been poured into every tiny detail of this home, just to make every guest feel pampered and special. I cannot wait to come again!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was beautiful and exactly as described—peaceful, private, and the perfect escape from the city. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed for both cooking and entertainment. The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was kept in very good condition. The house is beautiful and was very welcoming. Check-in was very easy with instructions that were provided by the host. The kitchen had everything we could think of. Only suggestion would be to have candles for the deck to help with the hornets at flies.

The checkin process was extremely straightforward and all details provided well in advance of our arrival. I wholeheartedly recommend this cabin to family and friends and look forward to returning in the near future.

Beautiful, relaxing cabin with a wonderful view of the lights

We stayed at the cabin for 2 days and wished we could stay longer! It was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed for a perfect, relaxing end to our week in Alberta. We also had a lovely view of the Northern Lights!! I could even see them from the well positioned beds. I would stay here again in a second, only I'll stay longer next time

Wonderful Family Getaway

A Writing Retreat Haven

Our stay at the Barrel House was unbelievable! Such a gorgeous rural setting in the boreal forest. The historical home is lovely and unique. The interior decorating is tasteful and thoughtful in every way. Absolutely loved our stay and definitely coming back!

A beautiful retreat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and well appointed home. We had our adult children with us and it was very spacious and the property allowed for many areas to all relax and visit together. The host was great with communications and the property was just as lovely as it appeared on the website. A delightful stay overall!

Great relaxing retreat on the edge of town!

The property was fantastic. Unique secluded cabin feel with high end upgrades. Beautiful decks, outdoor space and firepits. The kitchen was stocked with utensils, pots, pans and anything else you could imagine including barware right down to a moscow mule set.
