“Property looks bad. A lot of stuff laying around. The room was old but clean. Very different from the outside. Would do much better if outside was cleaned up”

“We stayed at the Shelby Inn overnight Easter Sunday night, after a day of fishing at the lake spillway. The Inn looks to be a mansion in pictures, but it is also what might have been an upgraded 1950s single floor motor lodge, as well as a two story lodging building next door. Our king room was in the 2 story building, on the top floor. On the day of our arrival, we got the assigned room number and an access code for the door. “Only thing didn’t happen was breakfast & website stated free breakfast. May need a better way to true advertising. ”

“There was a microwave, not plugged in. A working fridge & freezer. The room was booked for 2 people, but only had 1 coffee cup and only decaf coffee. The cups and coffee were replaced when asked. The wi-fi password didn't work as no site was available to use it! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Good for an overnight stay!”

“The first room we were assigned smelled like barf. The 2nd room smelled strongly of over-used cleaning products, but the floor was sticky. It was livable for 1 night, since we had pre-paid. I would not visit this property again.”
