“In movies this is the room where the heroin addict prostitute brings their tricks. I had traveled all day to nearly midnight and was exhausted and feeling ill, felt unsafe to drive further.
The room smelled of smoke. The floors were filthy. The sheets were stained, possibly not even cleaned. The towels were a dingy grey with unidentifiable stains, again, possibly not even clean. The toilet definitely had not been cleaned, inside or out.

“The tub was clogged and we couldn't shower and had to kill a cockroach in the middle of the night. We couldn't change rooms because they were sold out. Breakfast the next morning was lacking, no yogurt or waffles and mostly bread ends were left.”
