“The cabin was beautiful and clean. Perfect for 2. The hosts had a nice reception book ready that was clear and helpful. We did have an issue with the WiFi that was undergoing improvements, but the host was very helpful and responsive and we got it going. If we are ever back in the area this cabin will be the first place I check.”

“We had an amazing stay! The cabin is the perfect setting—so cozy and inviting. It had everything we needed and more. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we truly felt right at home. We especially appreciated having a washer and dryer available. We will definitely be back!”

“We really enjoyed staying here. We had a family get together at the Ozarks State Park and needed to accommodate a family member with a wheelchair that could not camp. It worked great for him and us! Beautiful secluded location in the woods. If you’re lucky the neighbors dog (Coco) will come by and say hi. She is so sweet! Lots of critters out at night by the lake. It was a lot of fun lotto the frogs. We saw a snapping turtle during our stay too!”

“Absolutely beautiful. The cabin had everything one could need. If you forgot something, they have it. The hosts had fresh milk in the fridge, fresh muffins out in the counter and other breakfast items. Bed was very comfortable. Hosts were attentive. While we did not get to enjoy outdoor area like planned, again, they have everything you could possibly need. Soo peaceful out there! Thank you for the experience.”

“This is a great place to stay, staff was great. A little disappointed the restaurant was closed Tuesday and Wednesday but the pool was great and the area of the lake was pretty quiet. The cabin was nice, we will be back.”

“We had peaceful getaway at the Hix Lake and Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped, generously stocked kitchen. Its location on the private lake is serene with no other houses in sight.The real show-stopper was the outdoor areas. We enjoyed morning coffee on the wrap around porch looking out at the lake and listening to the birdsong. The hot tub was a relaxing way to unwind. Fishing at the private lake was a lot of fun. “This is the second year we have chose to stay here. Love the convenience of the river right off the deck. Plenty of room for family to enjoy and stretch out. The house is conveniently located close to grab groceries when needed. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Only 25 min trip to Bennett Springs to book float trips or fish. Couldn’t ask for a better Host. ”
