We have just returned from an awesome couple’s weekend at Above the Current! I can’t say enough about how great our experience was. No detail is missed here, and the owner’s communication was excellent. First off, the pictures do not do it justice. As you drive into the Coosawatee River Resort, there are many deer along the way, immediately welcoming you to this nature retreat. The breathtaking view of Mountaintown Creek is incredible, and being able to sit on the observation deck with drinks and listening to the river was heaven on earth! Morning coffee on one of the many decks was the best way to start the day! The home is also appointed with a huge kitchen, Weber grill, and a blackstone griddle, where we were able to make dinner one of our nights. The home is a short ride into downtown Ellijay where there are many great restaurants, bars, and shops. It is also a very quick trip to several of the area wineries, as we were able to spend an afternoon at Roo Mountain Vineyards taking in the Mountain View. The beds were so comfortable, and the bathrooms are huge! Each of the bedrooms opens onto a screened in deck, so you can greet every morning with river views. I can’t wait til our next visit to this lovely home!
