  • Leave your cares far behind and sink into relaxation and fun! Escape to Gladstone Getaway in Ellijay, Georgia. A cabin where everyone gets their own space nestled in the heart of Blue Ridge Mountains. Find serenity and adventure!

    Complete an Escape room adventure built around local history and legends. QR codes guide you to complete cluess and puzzles throughout the cabin with hints if you get stuck. Take home a keepsake prize. We also offer a simpler scavenger hunt as another activity option.

    Gladstone Getaway is bright and secluded!

    We are located in the Coosawattee River Resort on 3 acres- 4 total lots. the last home on a dead-end street. No other cabins are visible from the property. Your family will have peace and feel quite remote, though the resort amenities and local activities are only a few minutes away.

    Parking is at the top level, but just wait! 3 levels with 3 decks spanning the back of the house unfold on the other side with a loft above the main level.

    500 mbps WiFi sped with extenders on each level. Dedicated work space.

    2,400+ square feet of living space. Built in 2005.

    Movie room, popcorn maker, hot tub, fire pit, indoor gas fireplace (fall and winter), 3 decks, grill, patio table, hammock. 4 sleeping areas, sleeps 8: 3 bedrooms (king, queen, bunk bed) each have smart TVs and deck access. Open Loft with AC unit sleeps 2 additional on 2 twin beds. 2 full bathrooms. Full laundry room.

    Fully furnished and beautifully equipped with all the essentials- linens, towels, and cookware, kitchen towels, place mats, hot pads, dishes and cooking tools and grill tools ensuring a hassle free stay. Starter consumable items such as toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, sponge, hand and dishwasher and laundry soap.

    The bottom level boasts the movie room with 65-inch smart TV, and surround sound. Enjoy relaxing in leather recliners on riser seating while eating popcorn fresh from the theater style popcorn maker. An electric fireplace makes the setting cozy and can help warm the room in fall/winter. The hot tub is on this walk out deck or make s’mores in the evenings while sitting around the firepit.

    2 bedrooms, laundry, full bathroom and deck accessible from both bedrooms occupy the middle level. Queen bedroom with smart TV and deck access. Bunkbed room sleeps 3 (twin over full) also has a smart TV. Toys, books and board games for the family. Sneak out and relax on the outdoor deck swing and chairs while listening to the breeze and birds in the trees.

    The upper-level deck wraps around both sides of the house and across the back. This level includes the fully equipped open kitchen, dining space, living room, master bedroom with attached full bathroom. This level has vaulted ceilings and lots of light! Indoor gas fireplace (available seasonally), Roku TV, and comfortable sectional. Board games and books. There is French door deck access from the living area with a grill and patio dining table outside. The master suite has a king bed, full attached bathroom, deck access and a hammock. The open loft above has 2 twin beds and an AC unit.

    Exterior security cameras help us monitor who is arriving at the cabin. Our hosting licenses require us to comply with the gated resort and county STR ordinances to monitor that our guest and pet limits are being followed to keep our community and county safe. ++++++++++++
    Coosawattee River Resort amenities are included with your stay: seasonal pools, indoor year round pool, game rooms, workout gym, game room, fishing, pickleball, tennis, mini golf, basketball and 5 river parks. If you will have 2 cars, bring tubes or kayaks and float from River Park down to take out at the park at Fife Bridge. Coosawattee River Resort also has a camp ground, walking paths, fishing with no license needed, and a suspension bridge.

We had the best time at this property! Talk about peace and quiet, this is it! We loved exploring the beautiful grounds, soaking in the hot tub and we ended nearly every night with a family movie night in the theater room (we loved it so much we are thinking of how we can build one in our own home!) This truly felt like home away from home in the best way! Cozy, relaxing, inviting. We truly did not want to leave.

Property is on the edge of a sprawling resort which has multiple pools, an exercise center, lush forests, deer, and a small river perfect for easy kayaking. A no- license required fishing pond is there but nothing was biting our bait. My only negative was the very narrow curving roads which left me uncomfortable driving at times. Traffic was light usually so we got used to being very careful and not gawking at the many deer :-). The owners were extremely responsive and the challenging find it/solve it historical mystery game was a big hit!

We had the privilege of staying at Gladstone Getaway for a last-minute family trip to Ellijay, and it was absolutely terrific. My wife, our three kids, and I spent the weekend there and truly enjoyed every part of the experience.The home sits at the end of a private road surrounded by woods with a small creek nearby, making it peaceful and relaxing. We loved exploring the property, and one of the coolest parts was the deer all around the cabin. They were incredibly comfortable around people and would come so close you felt like you could almost pet them.The cabin was extremely well-equipped with thoughtful touches everywhere. The movie room with popcorn and the hot tub were favorites for our family. Bob and Andi were fantastic hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and even putting together a scavenger hunt for the kids that was such a fun and memorable touch.Overall, it was the perfect place to unwind for a long weekend, and we would absolutely stay again.

Everything about this place was perfect. We are a family of teenagers and an infant (and a dog) and everyone had a great time, plenty of space to call home and relax, and the hosts, Bob and Andi were the best! I can’t say enough great things about them and their beautiful cabin! Do the Escape Room- just wait a day or two to get familiar with the cabin and it’s worth the adventure!

This was a really fun cabin experience! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very helpful and communicative. We enjoyed the hot tub, hiking around the cabin, the back porch swing, cozying up in front of the fire, and the fun Escape Room type game the hosts put together for us. We would definitely come back!

This was a perfect comfortable house for our family getaway! It was well equipped with everything we needed. The owners are very responsive, nice people. We enjoyed hiking down to the babbling brook nearby, the fire pit, hot tub, the movie room etc. And the town of Ellijay is real gem!

Summer escape

We really enjoyed getting away to the peace and quiet in Ellijay, it was a great escape from our busy lives in Florida. The cabin was clean and roomy and the location was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed some days in town exploring and some days just relaxing together in the cabin. My teenagers loved the movie room! It was a great stay and the hosts were great with communication!

Loved it!

I love all the decks the cabin had. I enjoyed sitting on them and having lunch. It was secluded from the other cabins which was great. There was a lot of deer to watch. Also a lot of amenities to enjoy.

Amazing!

Everything was perfect from location to responsiveness and enthusiasm of the host. Do the escape room! I can’t tell you enough that you won’t be disappointed. The cabin itself was super clean and well appointed and the resort has everything you’d need. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Great Weekend!

We had a 3 day weekend at the cabin to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The cabin is amazing. We enjoyed some great food in town, some amazing hikes to waterfalls, and a nice night by the fire. Quiet location with beautiful scenery.

Clean and Cozy

Easy to connect with host, our adult children enjoyed the movie room, video games, and hot tub. It was also nice because they kind of had their own space on the second level. My husband and I enjoyed seeing all the deer and being eye level with many birds from the back porch. Thank you for a great stay, Andi!

Best house in the GA mountains

We had the best time! Everything was exactly as it was promised. The hot tub was perfect for the young adults and the movie room was such an added bonus for the whole family! Real movie seating with popcorn and hundreds of movies to choose from. That was such a cozy spot to relax after hiking all day! The hosts were always available if we needed anything! Truly, one of the best VRBO experiences ever!

The cabin was pretty nice there was lots and lots of spider 🕸️ webs every where I was running into every where I walked even in the house but hey you can't all ways help spider webs.

The property was clean, organized and welcoming. Bob and Andi were great with communication. My only suggestion would be to label the door to the movie room

5 Stars Great Home

This is a cute cabin situated on a quiet road. We are a family of 5 (kids ages 9-14) and this was perfect. Everyone had enough space inside to play games and relax. The wildlife was beautiful. Deer, squirrels and fireflies. Owners are super responsive and provided help and suggestions. Restaurants, Walmart, Aldi, and Appalachian Beverage are about 15-20 mins away.
