As we have mentioned in other reviews, we are a privately owned establishment that was built in '84 with a small staff. We have to budget things like the carpets we recently installed in the hallways and lobby and the painting that our only two maintenance men are doing to the exterior. We have plans for more updates but it is definitely a slow process. We hope you will give us another chance as we continue to grow and make changes!

Right now, our maintenance is painting the front of the building and we had new carpets installed in the lobby and hallways. We hope to have some of the carpets done in the rooms next year so we would love to see you again as we make these changes!

With all due respect Sir, the health department would have shut us down and we would not be full every night if those claims were 100% accurate. I am sorry we were not up to your standards. You cannot pay a 2 star price and expect a 5 star stay, however we ARE clean, there is scaffolding outside and painting going on and the walls were painted over the winter. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations.

We are sorry to hear about the wifi, however. We have routers through the ceiling in the building but find the one near the lobby gets the best reception. Any guest is welcome to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in our breakfast lounge to get better a better signal if they are struggling with connection!

Thank you for the constructive review! We are working hard to update as we are an older, privately owned establishment. We put in new carpets upstairs and down and in the lobby this year, as well as giving the building a fresh coat of paint. We have plans to replace the carpets in some of the rooms very soon as well!As for our side entrance doors, those lock after 10PM every night and only the front entrance is open. We have 24 hour desk staff (one of the only few hotels in the area to offer this) as well as security cameras in the halls if it is a matter of security. One of our night auditors has been with us for 15+ years and takes safety very seriously! We hope if there were any issues, any guest would bring it to our attention, day or night.Thank you!

Sorry to hear you didn't find our breakfast that great! Unfortunately tourist season is coming to a close so we tend to only have cereal, oatmeal, and donuts along with hot drinks available in our fall/winter months. I hope everything else was to your liking!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You are very correct. We had new carpeting installed over the winter and our maintenance men got the staging out and started painting the outside of the building last week. It's been a rough couple years on being able to make upgrades, but we are trying!

We have hair dryers available on request, I'm sorry we don't have them in all the rooms. This was disappointing to read. I am very sorry you were so displeased with our motel and our staff. I wish you had let us know you were unhappy and we could have given you some compensation. We replaced the carpets in the hallways over this past winter and have it on the schedule to repaint the building this fall. Thanks for letting us know where we can improve. We apologize that our accommodations weren't up to standards. There are a few things we would like to address in your review. Firstly, we are so glad there are not bed bugs! We have pest control come in on a schedule regularly and we take it very seriously, even at the storage units we also have on the property. Unfortunately, we have had some staffing issues with housekeeping and we hope you brought the light to our attention so we could fix it for you. Our maintenance is here Mon-Fri and one of them would have been more than happy to assist you.As for the AC, in the summer our housekeepers are trained to have the AC running for all incoming reservations. Some guests find it pleasant to come in from the heat to a nice, cool room. We apologize that it wasn't to your preference.Breakfast is quick and small as we find it easier for those heading to the park early in the morning to grab easily. We also try to explain during our check in routine what to expect for breakfast but we apologize that didn't seem as forthcoming or it was overlooked.We apologize too that our desk clerk didn't have any recommendations for you as well. We pride ourselves on being friendly and helpful and we also offer discounts to local restaurant with your room key. We should have explained and given you a small list at check in.We do admit that we are an older, privately owned building and we try to make improvements all the time. This year we actually put in new carpets in the hallways and lobby!Again, we are disappointed to hear all this but the constructive criticism is still appreciated. Someday, maybe you will give us another chance.Have a wonderful summer!
