We only booked this one because it was on our shortest way to BC, Canada and for sure will never come back . 1. The bathroom s was not clean- the bath tub had the dirt line clearly shownas well as the sides of toiletts 2. When I picked up the soap dish to clean extra water underneath there was a black mold line on the ceramic soap holder! 3 I I decided to have the Shower in my beach Birkenstock ! 4. In front of the hotel/motel, there were dirty socks and garbage on the ground everywhere! I would not recommend staying at Ely at all.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!!!!! This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The hotel is super old, the bed and pillows are terrible, sheets stained , I didn’t even take a shower because the bathtub was stained and it grossed me out. The carpet is dirty and torn, There’s no microwave or refrigerator in the rooms (#114). By 7 PM there’s no one at the front desk anymore you need to call them and of course NO ANSWER!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this dump. Breakfast is just milk and cereal—they don’t have anything else. If could give them 0 star I would, Worst experience ever!!!

We were assigned a room that was obviously not used in a very long time. The tv remote did not work. Assigned another room and it too had not been used in a long time and was not properly cleaned after previous guests.

I've stayed here twice now as a one-night stop en route to my final destination and will stay here again. Although the rooms are showing their age, they have been kept up well. Overall, I've gotten what I wanted, that is a clean bed and a clean bath. Bonus points for a strong wi-fi.

Excellent Mexican restaurant next door. Liquor store also very close by. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is very small.

No idea how they have an 8.2 rating. Bathroom wasn’t clean. Wifi was terrible. Girl at front desk didn’t seem to care. We had to go find a stopper for the tub to have a bath. Breakfast was laughable. No cereal or fruit. Rating should be a 3 at best.

Evening hostess was very nice. Gal with the rainbow hair in the morning was the worst. I asked about why the cereal in the room next to the dining wasn’t out and she said they had been out of milk for a week. When we went in to get food, the napkins and most of the food was gone. When I asked about that, she said it was 8:30 and most of the other guests had eaten and checked out! Breakfast was listed from 7:30 tom10:30! After I had gone in for a cup of oatmeal from a bag she came in with some pastries and a few granola bars. There were three fruit bowls there. I asked about fruit and was told that “business had even so bad all of it rotted and she wasn’t getting any more!” After that, she and her boyfriend were hugging it up in the lobby. Other comments: our door to the balcony would not lock. The telephone didn’t work. The ice machine was out of order. Our soap dish was full of dirt and old soap. Ew amenities just set on top of it. The stairs were so steep we had a terrible time climbing them. It is unclear how they received a rating of 8.2. Should have been a 3 at best.

Since we arrived late we received a message and our key was in our door. Upon getting to a room, we noticed stain on the bed and no toilet paper. They called the number on their message and someone came down to the office right away to change our room. Motel is dated. 65$ I didn’t expect the Taj Mahal. Lots of stairs. I probably will not stay there again.

We checked into Bristlecone early in week after long travel day. We got to our room & saw crumbs on a chair, dirt & dust on tables, grease spots in microwave, a shower curtain that was a half foot too long for the shower. Returned to front office where a young lady apologized & offered a suite. We went to the suite, looked around, noted dusty surfaces, tried the A/C, it didn’t work & was protruding from the wall, and no microwave. We returned to front desk…asked for the room we had stayed in last fall (it had LVP flooring & was nice), but she said it wasn’t available bc of a water leak! So we went back to the original room bc it was getting late & we were tired. Wiped dust off the tables, didn’t use microwave, also noticed crumbs on carpet…clearly it wasn’t vacuumed or cleaned very well. The A/C fan worked, but it did not cool! Finally, the remote controls for the TV did not work. Next morning at 7:00 went to office to check out & for coffee, but it was dark inside! A sign posted on office door said opens at 7:00, rang doorbell, a front desk lady opened the door. We informed her of the room situation & requested to talk w the owner-Vasu Jolly, who was unavailable, but no email address or phone was given! She explained she was the only one cleaning all thirty two rooms!! We asked why NEON motel sign indicated ‘NO VACANCY’when there were only two cars in parking lot! She said bc the other thirty rooms weren't cleaned yet! Motel is being NEGLECTED, and we were charged $102!!

I had a really good stay at the Bristlecone Motel. It’s a motel so there aren’t many amenities, but that’s exactly what I expected. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the sheets smelled fresh. The bathroom and shower were spotless. I was in the middle of moving and asked if I could have a room where I could park my car right outside, and they were happy to accommodate that, which I really appreciated. I had stayed down the road before at Prospector’s Casino, and this was a far superior stay in terms of cleanliness. I was traveling alone and felt safe here. Honestly it was so nice I almost stayed another night instead of getting back on the road. I would definitely stay again.

Great staff, arrived on a cold night in January in low 20’s F, room was warm and showers hot. Basic breakfast but coffee ready for 7am. Great value.

Only person staying at the property and I was put in the noisiest room (107) right next to the busy highway. I would have asked to move rooms but the staff was gone by 6:30. This is my third stay here, and my last, as each stay has been progressively worse. Last time the water to my room was shut off. Two hours later the water was on but was a disgusting brown color. Not fit to wash in or brush my teeth. Since I travel through Ely regularly I will definitely find another place to stay.

Room was clean and the staff was polite. But it could use newer remodeling. The breakfast was a meager offering, but better than nothing. And what they had was suitable. I appreciated it because our one night stay was just to rest, get up and have coffee and be on our way. And that is probably the exact clientele they are used to. I would stay here again if I needed to.
