Encinitas Hideaway
We’re a young couple in our 60s and we surely enjoyed our stay at the tiny house short bike ride to everywhere up and down highway 101. The host Doug was very pleasant. Always asked if we needed anything. You gotta stay here, and see it to believe it for yourself. I’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful Tiny House, Great Hosts
We had a wonderful stay and Doug and Marianne's meticulously clean and well designed Tiny House. They have thought of everything for their guests' comfort, including leaving a wagon at the parking spot for transporting goods and luggage to the house. We accidentally left some hiking poles in the unit, and they have bent over backwards to figure out how to mail them back to us economically. Communication was great throughout. We would highly recommend this spot for anyone staying in the greater San Diego area. Thank you Marianne and Doug!

The most perfect getaway
Tiny house was absolutely perfect, Marianne and Douglas gave us the ability to drop our bags before official check in which was so helpful! The house itself was incredibly clean and had anything you could want, the outside area was our favorite part to sit and have a drink before we made our way downtown which was only a short walking distance, we utilized the bikes to get to the beach as well! The city itself was so beautiful we can’t wait to go back

Five stars ++
The owners thought of absolutely everything in this beautiful, immaculate tiny home! The grounds were equally amazing and so well cared for. Bikes, outdoor games and boogie boards were a great touch and fun to use. Close to the ocean and town- great location! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Tiny Home!
I had a wonderful stay! The tiny home is incredibly cozy, beautifully designed, and very close to the beach and lots of great shops and restaurants. The hosts were very accommodating and easy to reach. Would happily stay there anytime I'm in Encinitas!

A Cozy Piece of Heaven!
What a comfortable and fun treasure to stay in! I felt so at home with a very cozy bed and the outdoor fire pit. The tiny home was so well organized and laid out with everything needed (the bikes were fun to ride to the beach as well!). The outdoor area was phenomenal for comfort and sitting around talking, drinking coffee. I would've been content just hung out there for days! Thanks so much for sharing your home! We might have to downsize soon (lol!).

Doug and Marianne are wonderful hosts and their beautiful tiny home is perfect for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient stay near Encinitas Beach and shops. The tiny home has been completed with high end finishes and conveniences. The area outside is perfect for outdoor dining or entertaining. We will definitely visit again!

perfect place to stay in Encinitas
Really nicely appointed "tiny house" with a fabulous outdoor space. The interior is like living on a boat, but with ten foot ceilings! I can't speak for large people, but for average size folk this worked out great. Easy walk to beach and the bikes (beach cruisers with gears) worked well. Encinitas has a nice beach and great restaurants and shopping. Coaster Train station is a ten minute walk.

Lovely little place
The tiny home is a wonderful place! The attention to detail and the layout of the house were amazing. Every space within the home is expertly designed for storage, bedding, etc and the outside area with chairs, firepit, table/umbrella make this a very enjoyable place to stay. The home is within a 10 minute walk to downtown Encinitas and moonlight beach. There is also a nice park with pickleball courts with a two minute walk. Doug and Marianne are very nice and interesting to talk with. We will definitely stay here again when our travels take us back to the area.

Perfect Tiny House
We absolutely loved the Tiny House. It's very close to restaurants, grocery store and of course the beach. It's equipped with everything you'd need for a nice relaxing stay. Marianne and Doug are the nicest people and wonderful hosts!

Perfect little getaway spot!
I almost hate to give this place the rave review it deserves for fear it won't be available when we want to go back! It really is perfect, however...the tiny house is so well decorated and appointed! The owners have made the outdoors a private, delightful place to spend time and they were thoughtful and responsive to anything needed. We will definitely be back! Thank you Douglas and Marianne!

Simply Amazing

Cozy oasis
This tiny home is a wonder. We’ve never stayed in a tiny home so this was a new experience - we were fascinated by all the space saving measures (eg murphy bed style ironing board behind bathroom mirror). The landscaping outside is wonderful: spacious and comfortable with entertaining features including a putting green, water feature, table fire pit, and grill. We are 2 middle age women who were comfortable staying for 4 nights. Easy 10-15 min walk to beach and strip. Hosts were responsive and friendly, not intrusive. Clearly a lot of thought has been put into making this place comfortable, clean and easy.

Terrific Tiny Home not far from town and the beach in Encinitas. Really, really nice people who own/run it, who are nearby, and simply wonderful attention to detail make this small home a fun discovery.

A private oasis!
My partner and I loved our stay at the tiny house! Between the beautiful landscaping, putting green, fire pit, it truly felt like our own private resort. It is clear that Doug and Marianne have put so much thought and care into this property, it had everything we needed and more. I so appreciated the clear directions and recommendations in the binder. The property is walkable to the beach, restaurants, and parks. It could not have been more conveniently located. I loved getting up early to enjoy my tea outside and watch the birds in the morning. We had such a peaceful, restorative stay and I hope to come back again soon.

Perfection
We absolutely loved this place! It was our first experience in a tiny home, and it exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, had everything we needed, and you can’t beat the location. It’s a short walk to downtown, the beach, or just stay in and enjoy the outdoor area of the home. They have truly created a wonderful retreat for guests. We are moving to Encinitas soon, and we already said we’d still go back when we need a staycation without the kids! Thanks again for a great stay! Best VRBO experience we’ve had.

Cutest Tiny House
We loved our stay. The house is brand new, super cute, with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect. We walked to the beach and downtown every day. There is even a park next door with pickle ball. The hosts have thought of everything - we would gladly stay there again.

Perfect Getaway

The perfect getaway
The photos do not give this tiny home the proper perspective... it is amazing!! Every detail for comfort, fun and privacy have been taken care of. We walked to the market for snacks and grill items. We walked to downtown for restaurants, music and shopping. We walked to the beach for sand & sunset. And we felt welcomed back to a cozy and clean home each time we wandered out. Even though the home is small, the patio and fire pit give the sense of luxury. We had such a lovely time & the owners are perfectly gracious. We hope to be back again soon!

Great things in tiny places.
This property is absolutely amazing! The tiny house is very well designed, and decorated beautifully, the outdoor area is so fun. The location is great for the beach by day and great restaurants by night. The best part are the owners Doug was very helpful, even offering things to do when we had a rainy day. Comfy tiny house in a great location
The property is well kept up, very comfortable, and feels private. It’s located minutes from the beach, which is only a short walk away, and there are many restaurants nearby. The location it’s in is also a great spot to base yourself if you want to check out the rest of north San Diego County.

Perfect Encinitas getaway
This place was perfect all around. The tiny house is clean and cozy, and the outside grounds are beautiful with outdoor shower, putting green, and fire pit. The owners have really put a lot of work into this place, and it’s the little things like having a bag of ice on the freezer, little portable Speaker, and anything else you could possibly need. Also the location is perfect, with a short walk to beach and restaurants. Will definitely be staying here again!

Anniversary Staycation Repeat
We had such a wonderful time last year celebrating our anniversary at this AMAZING tiny house that we decided to come back again. The house itself is charming and has absolutely everything you need to relax in beautiful surroundings. We love how there is so much to see within walking distance. Fantastic restaurants are only a short walk through the park. The beach is just down the hill. We love roaming through the rock garden. Doug and Marianne give the best restaurant recommendations and their book is well laid out. My husband and I have discovered that we are now spoiled by staying at their tiny house because no other place is as clean or as organized. Even a year later everything still appears brand new! We adore the hosts and their Tiny Home!!

A Piece of Paradise
We expected something nice, we got something astounding. This is an oasis to say the least. The tiny house was a perfect house so well planned and decorated and we miss it already. The outside area is gorgeous and so private with all that the website said and more. Doug and Marianne are awesome and included so much to make your stay one to remember and repeat. You will want them for friends. We tried, and could think of NOTHING they missed. If you stay here, you won't be sorry!

First time in Encinitas/Tiny home.
California native but first time in Encinitas and so happy I chose the cutest tiny home for our anniversary here with Marianna and Doug. The tiny home was even more stunning than the photos. A binder was provided with everything we needed to know about the area plus recommendation. Really took all the guess work out of it all. We got to just explore and relax. Perfect weekend getaway, can't wait to come back and stay longer next time for sure. They really thought of everything and communication was perfect. Felt like home away from home. WAY better than expected!
This was one of the best rentals I've ever booked for two people. It was so well thought out. The owners thought of everything and were pleasant to work with. I don't have a single critic. The tiny home was super cute, and the property was wonderful, easy to relax in. It was very clean and quite. The location was convenient for dinning out or beach activities.

The Tiny Little House in Paradise.
Upon arriving we knew this place was going to be it! It’s everything and more than we ever expected. The private estate makes you feel like you are in paradise. Private and quite neighborhood. Close to everything! It’s a must stay if you ever want to visit Encinitas, Cardiff by the Sea and Carlsbad. Golfing was great, shopping and dining are close. The Beach is the most beautiful in my opinion in the world. Walking distance. We highly recommend this little piece of paradise for anyone visiting. Thank you!

Perfect tiny home!
Everything about this house showed that the owners value the tiny house and take great effort in maintaining it and making it welcome and hospitable for guests! Even having bikes and beach chairs available for guests was so helpful and fun way to get around! Highly recommended!

Perfect tiny house experience
We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute. The hosts have thought of every detail in the tiny house and having the extra outdoor space to ourselves made the space feel much larger! It took us 10 minutes to get to the beach with views of the ocean a good part of the way, plus we were close to great restaurants, shops, etc. We hope to stay here again!

Perfect spot!
We enjoyed our stay so much, thanks to the hosts' thoughtful touches in the tiny home and surrounding garden. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine and fire table in the evening. It's an easy walk or bike ride into town or to Moonlight beach. The house has high ceilings and lovely finishes and furnishings - plenty of space for two - and it was immaculate. We hope to stay here again!

Loved it top to bottom. Doug & Marianne we’re very accommodating. They had thought of & provided for all manner of things to make our experience one of a kind. “It’s in The Book.” And, The Book was very well organized. We have recommended the TH-E to friends & family.
