Wonderful property in a great area

Nice and warm place, and the same is true for Sandrine and her husband (thanks for the ratafia, guys!). We spent a great week, and we were able to both enjoy the privacy of the individual "suites" and the openness of the common areas, being 3 couples of friends. Great having our evening barbecue in the front lawn! We also enjoyed all the new Appliances. The only thing we didn't like was the setup of the bathroom in the same space with the bedroom, but really a minor concern (and room for making it even better for next time!) Thanks for having us! Lovely gite, very quiet and relaxing

We arrived late evening on the first day but Sandrine was available and very welcoming. The gite is lovely and just as described and having the pool is great and was welcome in the hot weather. For the last few days of the week we were 6 adults and the house worked well for us with plenty of space outside and in and we all left feeling very relaxed. A lovely little village but with plenty of places to visit not too far away, Epernay and surrounding villages for champagne tasting and Provins for history.

Very Nice Gite

Very nice and relaxed stay in Sandrines Gite. A good way of sharing the pool with a scheme to sign up. Nice small village with a bakery a small cafe and market (Tuesday morning). Good champagne house a short car trip away. Very easy to take the train to Paris from Provins, 30 min in car from Esternay. Sandrine is a super host.

One week not enough

Warm welcome from our host Sandrine, introduces us to the many features of this charming accomodation. Plenty of space for the four of us. We cooked most evenings. The two fridges provided room to keep food and wine/lager chilled and the dishwasher helped us keep things tidy. The private garden was perfect for relaxing in or playing table tennis, nd if it got to windy for table tennis the table football upstairs provided great entertainment. Alternatively their is a TV and DVD player in the lounge for quieter evenings. Oh and use of the pool is a bonus touch. The location is lovely and quie. The village centre appears to have been recently updated with parking spaces. The old church bells have a lovely sound, and two bakers, two butcher and a mini mart are all centrally located A supermarket only a short drive. Would love to come again and explore the region more.

Wonderful Gite!

My family and I stayed at this lovely gite in August 2023. It is a beautiful character property with all the necessities. The shared pool is fantastic and quiet. We liked that the gite was in a quiet area, with a secure private garden and seating area for the kids. The town centre is 2 minutes drive away and the local supermarket 5 minutes. While we stayed we visited Disneyland Paris which is an hour away, an easy drive. The host Sandrine greeted us on arrival and lived next door. Our holiday was perfect with no problems. We will look to stay again in the future!

Too short a break

Lovely property with a lovely pool as described. Visited zoo and Disneyland Paris, Provins and epernay. Owners next door but not intrusive. Bakery and small shops 15 minutes walk with a larger supermarket on the outskirts of the town. Would have happily stayed longer.

A proximité de Paris, idéal pour un week-end ou plus, la piscine est aussi fun que sur les photos. La maison est très bien équipée, pas de mauvaise surprise.

Nice place in a rural area

The place is quite nice and so are the hosts. You should realize that most attractions are at least 1hr away. Paris is within reach by car+train, though. The pool is great with kids but there are opening hours from 10-18 which is a bit restrictive, especially if you go on day trips. This info would have been very helpful on the FeWo website.

Had a nice stay

The pool was definitely the highlight of our stay. My son accidentally broke a outdoor chair and we offered to replace it but Sandrine kindly refused. Very handy for Paris and Disneyland.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Sandrine’s place. The property was exquisitely done, well equipped, everything was super clean, the pool booking system was so easy - it didn’t even feel like you were sharing. If you have kids the property is ideal, from lots of children's play things, to a high chair, and the garden was one level and fenced in. We stayed in summer but imagine it would also be cosy and lovely in winter. Great BBQ area too and Sandrine was so helpful with all our questions. Location is great with local bakery and big super market. A really easy drive from Calais. Would definitely recommend!

1st vacation with 2 kids

This was our first vacation with 2 kids (9 month old and 2,5 year old). They loved the pool and fenced in yard. The host provided 2 cots and a high chair which was very convenient. Had a great vacation

Charmante Oase

Ein sehr schön renoviertes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Hofgebäude mit großen Zimmern und einem tollen überdachten Freisitz draußen. Eine ruhige Oase - mit beheiztem Pool -, doch Ausflugsziele wie Reims, Troyes und Provins sind alle gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Im Ort selbst kann man sich gut beim Bäcker, Metzger und in einem kleinen Supermarkt versorgen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Doris

Sehr erholsamer Urlaub auf dem Land

Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Für Kinder gibt es einige Spielsachen, für Kleinere z.B. eine Spielküche und für Größere ein Kicker. Grundsätzlich ist sehr viel Platz in der Unterkunft. Den Pool haben wir jeden Tag genutzt. Er ist sehr gepflegt und durch die Überdachung kann man ihn bei jedem Wetter benutzen. Im Ort gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Bäckerei, so dass man sich mit dem notwendigsten versorgen kann. Vor Ort kann man eine kleine Draisinentour auf stillgelegten Gleisen machen oder auch kleine nette Spaziergänge durch das Dorf unternehmen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist die mittelalterliche Stadt Provins, die nicht weit enfernt ist. Ein sehr gelungener und erholsamer Aufenthalt! Merci beaucoup!

Toll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus, Umgebung eher fad

Wir haben 2 Wochen in diesem Ferienhaus verbracht. Die Ausstattung, der Garten und die gesamte Einrichtung gefielen uns super. Allerdings muss man schon sagen, dass die Umgebung selbst doch nicht so günstig ist. Man ist sehr stark auf das Auto angewiesen, in Esternay selbst kann man nur sehr wenig erleben und es fehlte uns auch an einem schönen Restaurant in Laufnähe. Wenn man für jeden kleinen Ausflug das Auto braucht, ist der Ferienspaß für uns schon etwas geschmälert, aber das ist sicher Ansichtssache. Unsere Söhne (16 und 11) fanden den Pool toll, aber ansonsten machte sich in der 2. Woche definitiv Langeweile breit....

Heerlijke vakantie

We hebben echt genoten van onze vakantie in dit mooie huis. Onze dochter vond de speelruimte geweldig. Door de covid-19 maatregelen helaas weinig persoonlijk contact gehad met de eigenaren, maar de communicatie is alsnog goed verlopen. We komen hier zeker terug.

Superb private gem in champagne

Sandrine could not have been more helpful in making our stay superb. The gite is delightful, great facilities including the private heated pool. It also had separate washer dryer which is far in excess of many other properties. The decor was authentic, and suited The lovely refurb that has been carried out. We had a wonderful stay, and it was so quite and peaceful. A perfect place to explore the beautiful region, with the support of our host. Thanks sandrine, for everything.
