“I didn’t see this when I was booking the hotel but check-in isn’t until 6 PM. Are you kidding me? And then to add insult to injury check out is 10 AM. The pictures on Expedia led me to believe it was a hotel. Not quite. It’s like 10 buildings that are scattered around a large property. Because check-in wasn’t until 6 PM. “We booked a 2 bedroom apartment which was excellent. Really spacious and comfortable, large and comfy bed, very clean too. Well stocked kitchen and a great deck area to sit on at night. Included breakfast in the main building was also pretty decent and the hotel is conveniently located to get in to Estes Park town centre, or to RMNP.”

“This hotel is walkable to town, has a swimming pool and a hot tub & continental breakfast. The staff is delightful & kind on check in and with my questions. “I absolutely loved staying at the Ponderosa Lodge over the Labor Day weekend. It is very conveniently located only 1 mile from the Rocky Mountain State Park entrance and a short drive from the downtown Estes Park. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hot tub is set up above the river. The rooms are beautifully decorated with original mountain style furniture and touches. It is a gorgeous property and I highly recommend it for solo travelers, couples or families with the kids.”
