“This home sits right on the water! It is beautiful! We watched ships roll by, ducks bobbing on the water, and flocks of geese flying and landing on the water. The view from both lower and upper decks are amazing! We spent lots of time on the decks even though it was cold - we just covered ourselves with blankets. “We had a fantastic stay at the Hideaway in Hays Beach. We were coming up to see our 93yr old Grandmother who lives about 45 minutes away. Our families rented two homes in the area and were able to enjoy our time with three generations that aren’t able to see each other often. The home was exactly as shown, perfectly decorated and incredibly well stocked! We’d absolutely come back!”

“We absolutely loved our stay on Smith island in this adorable cottage. Laura the host was very responsive, friendly and helpful. Being first timers to the island, I had several questions that were answered very quickly. The cottage was clean, well stocked (which is important for this type of unique experience) and decorated very cute. The local people were very friendly and we enjoyed the scenery of the island. We will definitely be back!”

“Took my grandson for a weekend trip to Smith Island to celebrate his HS graduation. My daughter, also, accompanied us, since I am a 90 year old "Grammy", and need some assistance. Our cottage was clean, comfortable and had all of our needs. The host, Kim, was extremely attentive, and made our dinner the night we arrived so we could just relax. “Great space for a short stay getaway!”

“This was a perfect place to stay, a bit far from our daily destination of Assateague but worth the drive for a place to unload and I unwind and relax without worrying about disturbing anyone, and with enough space for the whole family. We took advantage of the dock for crabbing and watching the sunset. Easy to get to, well stocked, easy to use and take care of, we would definitely stay here again.”

“I had a wonderful stay at this cozy waterfront cottage. The listing was accurate, and the serene setting made for a relaxing getaway. The home was clean, well-equipped, and the views were stunning. We especially enjoyed watching the deer and fiddler crabs. Highly recommend for a peaceful retreat.”

“Pictures and description don’t do the views enough justice. Having the Bay in front and the pond/inlet behind you allowed you access to whatever kind of water day you wanted. Neighbors were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We enjoyed the beach, kayaking out back, and the multitude of searing options/fire pits to enjoy the view. Would love to stay again!”

“This was our first time renting this property and will probably be a yearly stay from here on out. It was a great vacation. We appreciated all the little things as well such as, 3-in-1body was for men and women, kitchen supplies like zip lock bags, firewood and propane for the grill. There are a lot more things but that is just some to mention. Our pups really enjoyed the stay as well. ”

“If you want to wake up in the morning looking at the water, hearing the waves while seeping your coffee this is the place to go! They provide activities like bikes; fishing rods and game boards House is cute with very equipped kitchen. Host was responsive and accommodating. We had a good time!”

“We had a wonderful few days at the Little House as part of a longer week exploring VA and WV. The cottage was inviting and well equipped (even Band-Aids!). The property was tranquil with great water views. It was in a secluded area yet a short drive to nearby towns. We enjoyed use of the kayak, relaxing on the porch, and listening to the rain hit the roof on our last night. Rob and the neighbors are welcoming and friendly. ”
