Staying in woodpecker was relaxing and enjoyable. Having access to a games room and pool for my kids was amazing. If they had their way, they would’ve been in the pool every day for many hours. It was lovely being able to have the pool to ourselves so it did not restrict us by impeding on anyone else else’s Swim. As we are all keen swimmers for us more access to the pool for longer periods would have made it fantastic for us and we weren’t aware at the time of booking that it was bookable sessions only. Thankfully, the owners did their best in booking us as many sessions that were available.
Location of woodpecker was very easy and accessible to the sea, pubs and lovely scenery. Having access to a very large open area to play frisbee, football, bowls and stargazing at night was an added bonus.
Being out in the country there’s always little friends (ants) that make their way into join you but was provided with bait traps to put down and these luckily worked. On arrival and in going to use items in the kitchen, these items were needed to be cleaned but this didn’t impact on the enjoyable time spent there.
We did thoroughly enjoy staying at Woodpecker and would be thrilled to return.
