StayNordic | Renovated, large and unique building built in stone located in Gårdby | SE04041

This unique house is built with Öland limestone and is located on the eastern side of Öland in a small genuine town called Gårdby, 15 km from Färjestaden.



The entrance floor is bright and spacious with whitewashed stone walls and limestone floors. The floor plan is open with exposed beams in the ceiling and recessed dimmable spotlights. The living room is furnished with a sofa set and a TV with chromecast. Next door you will find the dining area and the lavish kitchen which has double steam ovens. The house has two fully tiled bathrooms with shower. Via the main entrance you reach the secluded back which has evening sun. At the far end of the house is a double bedroom and a single bed of 120 cm. The upper level has a furnishable hall and three bedrooms with two single beds in each. Here the ceiling height is a little lower. At the front there is a car park that is used, by the guests of the adjacent restaurant during the summer.



Things to see and do in the surrounding area

In a few minutes drive you will reach Färjestaden with its large selection of restaurants down by

the harbour as well as a shopping mall with shops. There are also fine sandy beaches and mini golf courses. If you want to play golf, Saxnäs fine golf course is only 25 minutes away. For the children you can take a trip to Öland Animal and Amusement Park which can be an experience for them. You can also visit the royal palace Solliden or Borgholm with all its shops and restaurants or why not take a trip to Kalmar Castle. Directly across the street you will find a popular restaurant "Eksgården", which is open in the summer, which you can visit if you do not want to cook your own food one day. A little further down the street you will also find the popular "Gårdby Kafé & Lanthandel".

Erster Eindruck miserabel, da nicht wirklich gereinigt. Steckdose aus der Wand hängend, Loch in der Wand, die wenigen Schränke mit div Kissen und Decken vollgestopft. Unter einem Waschbecken lag einZettel mit dem Hinweis, dass man weiß dass es tropft und man soll die Schüssel, wel hes unter dem Leck steht,ausleeren... es wirkt so als wollte man mit so einer Unterkunft einfach nur schnelles Geld machen.Wir haben die fehlende Reinigung reklamiert und haben auch entsprechend Abhilfe bekommen.Öland an sich ist sehr schön. Küche war auch geräumig, Tisch schön groß.

Das Ferienhaus in Gårdby ist ein historisches Gebäude, das als Ferienhaus umgebaut wurde. Der Wohnbereich und die Küche sind gut durchdacht (z.B. zwei Backöfen) und bieten auch größeren Gruppen genügend Platz. Es gibt einen großen Garten mit zwei älteren Tischen und sehr einfachen Stühlen. Leider war das Haus bei unserer Ankunft nicht gereinigt. Im Haus gibt es nur zwei Kleiderschränke, die voll mit gelblichen Kissen und Oberbetten waren. Somit konnte keine Kleidung darin aufbewahrt werden. Die Kissen und Decken haben wir vor der Nutzung durchgewaschen. Dass das Haus ein altes Gebäude ist, war uns bewußt. Gleichzeitig hatten wir den Eindruck, dass sich sehr wenig um das Gebäude gekümmert wird. Eine Steckdose im Flur hängt aus der Wand, ein Abfluss im Bad ist seid längerem undicht, die Dachfenster sind grün vor Moos, Lampen funktionieren nicht, Dachziegel hängen lose auf dem Dach und drohen herunterzufallen. Das Haus könnte wunderschön sein, wenn sich besser darum gekümmert würde.
