Overall enjoyable location for a large group. We had enough space to spread out with a geoup of about 20, ages 7 to 70s.The beds were not super comfortable and sheets were scratchy.The downstairs rooms can hear everything throught the floor/ceiling and walls and the downstairs is freezing. There were space heaters there and that made it bearable. The pool is different from the picture. It is not oval, it is round and smaller than pictured.Grill was very dirty we had to buy a grill brush to clean it.Enough plates cups etc. Had pool towels in bathroom by pool but we didnt know so bought some to use. Hot tub was great.A griddle (gas or plug in) would help elevate the property. More seating around fire put would help too.Overall these are nit picky criticisms and we enjoyed our stay.Area is pretty quiet. Closest "big" town is 20 mins away but dollar general had most things you may need.The water heater did break during the stay which then leaked and shorted out the ac unit. The company came out immediately and issue waa solved in less than 5 hours, very impressed by this.

Nice vacation house, minus the Game Room.

The home was spacious as described and the bedrooms were nice.Everyone had a lot of fun in the pool. Unfortunately the game room was too hot to be enjoyed. It is all windows that did not insulate and no curtains. The room was stifling hot all day. This caused the sitting room to be very warm, due to needing to go from it, through the game room, to access the pool. That was very disappointing to our competitive group. We cooked all our meals and needed to purchase several serving bowls to have adequate.We ran out of clean siverware everyday.The dishwasher worked well, butcould not keep up.Our Host was responsive and even purchased a blender when we inquired about a missing part. The heat issue just could not be fixed during our stay.

Nice house with needs that can easily be fixed.

As a whole, we enjoyed the roominess of the home, the hot tub, the location and the catering provided by Christine. However, there were several items that need to be addressed - blinds in several areas including the first-level bedrooms, several doors particularly around the porch areas didn’t lock or were missing, missing porch windows, ice-maker didn’t work, left front stove burner didn’t work, ant infestation in kitchen, limited porch furniture, doorless storage area upon 1st level entry and hard to control temperature on the 1st level.

Property a bit outdated from what the write-up showed. A number of issues overall on the property: > Mold in closet in downstairs king bedroom > Roof leaking in gameroom, used a pot to capture water > Top step coming up to the main floor a bit higher than the other steps, need to be careful with older and younger guests, had one fall during week > Plastic liner on shower in off the TV room was missing, just curtain > Window in downstairs king leaked in on our suitcase > several of the electrical outlets did not work > Back patio pavers not stable, all moved around and tough for some of our guests walking out to the porch > Offered early check in and late check out but then wanted to pay extra after paying for the weekend. Looking for 30 minutes on both sides and would not just allow. Worked well for our group with number of bedrooms and plenty of room for the families to spread out but just a bit outdated.

Family fun

Four generations getting together for family fun. The pool was great. Good location for exploring Ohiopyle. Many of the electrical outlets didn’t work. Very inconvenient with all the phones, iPads, etc. that needed charging. Slats on the bunk bed not the right length. My granddaughter fell when one of the slats slipped out. She got a nasty bruise.

We enjoyed our family trip. The house was very clean. There were a few things that needed updating but all in all it was great for our family. It had the right amount of bedrooms and privacy. Grand kiddos loved the new pool!

Great place for large gatherings

We had our annual family reunion at this house. Enough room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. Everything was very clean. The only issue was when we booked we were told there were 2 pull out couches but when we got there it was just regular couches. Also, The screws for the fuseball table were missing on the handles. The communication with the owners/property managers was excellent.

Large house, great views

This house is very large and accommodated several families. It was a good jumping off point for several things in the area and we comfortable to stay in when we didn't go out. We didn't really use the kitchen as we ate out most days.

Great to be together!

There was room for everyone. Places for togetherness or solitude. Lots of fun and singing around the fire out back. Plenty of dishes silverware, pots and pans etc. Plenty to do in the area. It was a fine week!

It ended with a song around the fire

This property was fine for our family of 14. There were more than enough dishes silverware glassware pots and pans. We did bring along four large bowels which were frequently needed. One thing that I must mention was that the lower level was very cold, try as we did to adjust the air conditioning. That being said, it was only used for sleeping and there was plenty of comfortable bedding. The decking area is rough and old and could use some attention. We had a great time exploring the area, playing games, reading, swimming, and, yes singing around our campfire!

Great location, acceptable but disappointing

Property needs updating and fixing, decks were in rough shape, dangerous in spots. Stove had a none working burner Parts missing from hot tub. No cookware for microwave. Missing parts in game room games.Damaged counter top and door knobs.

Wonderful!

We had a large group of girls from our college ministry on an annual retreat, and we had the BEST time! Everything was as pictured/listed, sleeping was comfortable. They provided us plenty of extra linens for our extra guests. Space was perfect for our needs. We had some issues with heating downstairs but someone came right away to help us, and the problem was fixed. Overall a wonderful, restful stay!

Plenty of room. House needs some TLC.

The house had plenty of room for our family but there were a few issues. The sunroom has a roof leak, the upper oven needs cleaned because it was smoking a lot, and we could not connect to the WIFI after many calls for the password. There were nails sticking up on the deck boards and the sliding door from the sunroom needs fixed as people were getting their fingers pinched trying to close it. Also the lock on the lower entrance is very loose. Beds were comfortable.

Great Stay

Overall it was a great property. It was well kept and clean. We did have an issue with keep the refrigerator cold but other than that no real issues. Very peaceful and quite. I would recommend to a big group because we had plenty of space to enjoy one another. We enjoyed the pool as well.

Loved it

We knew this place was going to be pretty big but wow this place was HUGE. Everyone kept saying that it was like a maze. There is so much room. We absolutely loved the set up of the place. It was a bit cold outside so we definitely want to come back in the summer to get a chance to get in the pool. Thanks for having us and we look forward to our next stay in the future.

Needs some work

The house is roomy for a large group, though not very clean. There were things needing attention and fixing, we did not want to get blamed. Lots of seating, pleasant porches, open windows and the hot tub are the best parts.

Mountain View House

The bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas were clean. We did have concerns that the refrigerator and freezer (frozen pop in the freezer) were dirty, which we had to clean. The pool was not cleaned. We had to scrim the top and the house manager came and had to vacuum the bottom of the pool . We also picked up trash along the back yard, fire pit area. We understand that there are millipedes in the area , but they were all along the hallway on the first floor . We had to sweep up large amounts daily. They said they were going to stop out and spray, but never showed. The king bedroom closet, on the first floor had mold, which means there is probably, water coming in that area. It was nice to have room for our large group and we really enjoyed the game room, pool and the outdoor swing. We did have a nice vacation .

Mountain View Lodge

I enjoyed the house very much. The kitchen needs a little love but it served us well. Oven needed cleaned; smoke detector came on after preheating and opening the oven door. Some broken shelves in fridge. Some outlets didn’t work. Otherwise, great. Clean and spacious. Pool, hot tub, and fire pit were all great. Enjoyed game room.

Family reunion

We stay here for a weekend family reunion. It was a little smaller than it looked in the pictures, but we had a good time. There are definitely not enough towels for the number of beds - we had to shower in shifts and dry the towels in the dryer in between. Also would have been nice to have a floor plan layout to help with room assignments. I contacted the owner and was given a link to a video walkthrough which was better than nothing, but a very cumbersome way to figured out how the rooms were configured. The wet bar was nice, but it would have been nice to have refrigeration there for adult beverages. We bought ice and kept coolers behind the bar, so no one went thirsty! We would probably stay there again, but bring more ice and our own towels.

Great family reunion location

This property is fantastic. Plenty of room for the 20 of us. There is alot of common areas to allow for visiting g and relaxation. The decks are nice and the game room for the kids was great. I highly recommend this house.
