  • Esperienza a casa lontano da casa al Mark's Retreat. Dotato di quattro camere da letto e tre bagni, questa casa in stile ranch è perfettamente adatta per 11 ospiti. La cucina dispone di ampi soffitti a volta, ampio spazio per pranzare, una grande TV a schermo piatto, accesso diretto al cortile sul retro o ponte avvolgente e un bellissimo camino a gas per creare un ambiente accogliente in qualsiasi momento della giornata. Aprendosi sul soggiorno con bellissime porte in legno e vetro, troverai molti comodi posti a sedere e spazio per guardare lo schermo piatto da 40 "montato sopra il camino a gas in pietra. Accanto al soggiorno si trovano due incantevoli camere da letto con letti matrimoniali, collegate da un bagno "jack and jill" con porte che si aprono sul soggiorno e su entrambe le camere. Mentre prosegui lungo il corridoio con la sua contemporanea illuminazione ad incasso e il nuovo pavimento in legno laminato, troverai la master suite abbellita da un letto king size e due finestre per far entrare il sole del mattino o del pomeriggio nella stanza. Rilassati nel tempo libero con la TV a schermo piatto montata a parete e accedi facilmente a un bagno annesso. Ultimo ma non meno importante è una quarta camera da letto con letto a castello e bellissimo armadio in legno con TV. Ti aspetta fuori un bellissimo ponte avvolgente, con accenti di roccia naturale incorporati e un sacco di posti a sedere per il relax di tutti. Sul retro di un accogliente cortile sul retro, splendidamente paesaggistico con firepit open rock, c'è un portico chiuso attaccato al ponte che offre molti posti a sedere e un camino a gas per mantenere tutti al caldo in una notte fresca. L'intera proprietà ha un cortile recintato perfetto per i tuoi amici a quattro zampe o per i membri più giovani del tuo gruppo che potrebbero voler esplorare ma hanno bisogno di uno spazio sicuro per farlo. Great space for family to spread out, both inside and outside. The adults and kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was nice to be in a separate space. The three bathrooms were a plus for sure, as well as the laundry room. Everyone enjoyed the fireplace, but a couple of extra rocking chairs would be great.

Weekend Getaway

We had a lovely time at Mark’s Retreat. Love the location and there was room for everyone. Making s’mores at the fire pit was definitely a highlight. This was our second time staying here and we would stay here again.

Everything was outlined properly and checkout was very easy. There was enough room for everyone and the fenced in yard was perfect! The internet goes out if too many people are on it, but that’s expected in a remote location so it wasn’t a big deal. Would stay here again!

Great get away. The house has plenty of room and great up to date amenities. We loved the beautiful backyard and fire pit area. The covered hot tub was a great feature on a cold rainy day. Great stay!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mark's retreat was just the place we needed at the last minute. Quiet and cozy set back in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Our family had a wonderful experience. OVR manages some beautiful properties. Can't wait to stay at one of them again.

The house added the ease of the stay with the yard and great layout of the house. We loved the dinning room table and that all 8 family could sit together and have a meal.

Great getaway

We had a very nice time at this cabin. It was spacious, well kept, and private. The only downfall is that the property next door was an eyesore. I'm surprised that the township hasn't done something about that.

Great home and location

The check in and check out process was very easy and thorough. The home is about 6-7 miles from downtown Ohiopyle. Beautiful home. Was well maintained and was extremely clean when we arrived. Plenty of room to spread out, tvs everywhere, and a great outside space with a covered deck with hot tub, open deck area with picnic table and table and chairs. Fire pit and charcoal grill. Really a great place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Super home in a great location - Highly recommend

My wife, I, and several friends rented the property for a 3 night stay. The property was clean, in good condition, and was very spacious. TVs in every room, about 5 miles from downtow Ohiopyle, and a great outdoor space. The rooms are all very large. There is a covered deck with hot tub and chairs to sit and relax if it rains, a large table on the uncovered deck, and a fire pit. Everyone in our group was very pleased with the hime and would rent this property for another stay. Highly enjoyed the home and our stay.

This was a great house. My only complaint is no screen on the fireplace which was too tempting for my 2 year old granddaughter. Had to move the love seat in front of it. Mouse poop in the kitchen.

Wonderful VBRO!!

Strong recommend! Before our visit, communication was clear- check in details, amenities, what we should bring. Check out list provided as well. Everything was as advertised. Home was very clean, warm, spacious and comfortable; great location, quiet but near restaurants and sites. Lots of dishes, towels, linens; plenty of hot water; hot tub clean and at temperature. Easy to find, well marked. Beautiful area. No cell coverage in home (ended at main road) but Wi-Fi good. All details spot on and we would stay here again without question.

BEAUTIFUL SNOWY RETREAT

We had a houseful. 4 Adults, 4 Kids and 4 Dogs. Having a fenced in yard was a game changer being able to let them run without leashes. Had a legit 10" winter snow while there and made everything beautiful! Being able to have a fire in the enormous firepit was great and the hot tub area was awesome for morning coffee and 20 degree evenings and it being inside a covered area was awesome and allowed us to spend tons of time there. There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out together or by themselves in a separate room. I wish there had been more cleaning supplies other than a broom as we would have done a better job with being able to mop up dirty areas but the house was pretty well stocked with everything we needed. Only ended up needed to buy a cutting board and some filters for the coffee pot but it had everything else we needed or a relaxing weekend. We had a really great time and would definitely revisit this location if invited back. Thanks Marks Retreat!

The home was beautiful, location was perfect. Wish the fence went all the way around the property so the dog had more room to roam. There were some things that were left to be desired. There was a broken handle for a drawer in the master bedroom. Power in the house is questionable. The lights flickered in every room of the house, luckily none of us had epilepsy. A few covers are missing from light switches. The fridge power went out, and we lost a lot of food. The oven went out too, and we had to order more food instead of making the food we already purchased. The dining room table was completely sticky all throughout, which was disgusting. Ants were all over the kitchen counter. There were many lightbulbs missing in the hottub area. I'm kind of disappointed in Mark's retreat. I know all of these things could've been avoided. Expected better for the price we paid.

Beautiful house, but needs some updates

House was beautiful inside and very spacious! Had plenty of room to accommodate our group! Loved the huge fire pit and appreciated the hot tub ( even though we didn't get a chance to use it ). Response time with problems was excellent! Even on a Saturday! Our coffee pot wasnt working at all, and when we messaged through the VRBO app we had someone over to get us a new one within 30 minutes! Only critiques are the cabinets in the kitchen and the beds. The cabinets were sticky and very hard to open. Having a doorknob on each would make it much easier. The mattresses were also very lumpy and soft. The king bed mattress had large indentations Indicating that it was severely worn out. They were not the most comfortable. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come here again!

Not actually well maintained and no one cared

The photos on VRBO are not current. The heater in the kitchen and the fireplace in the living room did not work. One wouldn't light and one wouldn't stay lit. The gas table outside had no gas so we were afraid to try it. The kitchen stove was very cheap, with not enough heat to cook any quantity of food. We called the phone number for help and only got an answering service: never a callback. The fence was down, and not going to work to keep in the dogs.
