Staff is helpful and friendly. Shops are approximately 1 mile walking distance, and there is a bus that goes to the mall down the block.
Within walking distance of the first nations footpath, Bay of Fundy, restaurants.”
“This location has been renovated since I visited several years ago and it is much nicer for it. I was in a conference room for two days for training and spent one night in a double queen room. It was a good experience overall. ”

“The women who were running the hotel were consistently cheerful, helpful, and hard-working. The guest work-out room and laundry room are examples of the thoughtful planning for travellers. Our room was huge and spotless (bedroom with small fridge, living room with microwave, and bathroom). Breakfast, included in the price, was delicious - with lots of choices like delicious coffee and tea, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, etc. I'd just suggest including a gluten-free cereal...
“This motel was a great find! Room, including bathroom, was immaculate, breakfast included hot waffles, and the view was expansive toward the port of Saint John and open ocean. In addition, the staff was so nice, even opening the door for us. This is our new place in the area!”
“Lokesh Kant was helpful in making us comfortable during our stay. He was informative when we asked about places of interest to visit while in the area. We enjoyed talking with him as he was very personable. We definitely would recommend Hillside Motel. It was not the Taj Mahal, but for the value price, it was worth staying there. If and when we are in St John, we would stay there again. ”
