“Right nice place to stay! Very old pub with rooms, quaint, and the food was all excellent! Ita not a luxury place, I’d give it an 8.4 overall, but the price was right and we loved it. ”

“We stayed at the Ropemaker for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and its restaurant. We had a lovely king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room had a portable air conditioning unit that kept it very cool, which we appreciated. However, it is noisy at night. The outdoor bar area is super cute and has little cabanas that seat about 4 guests. We'll definitely stay here again.”

“We had a very enjoyable stay at Strattons Hotel. The hotel was one of six I believe. We were just over the road from reception and where the restaurant is located. Very clean room which wasn’t as big as I was expecting but more than adequate for myself and my husband. I arranged for a bottle of Prosecco to be in the room for when we arrived, this was done along with a birthday card - lovely touch. Breakfast was brilliant. “Lovely staff, lovely room, only thing that let the hotel down was the other guests who were noisy in the hallway, were rude dropping doors closed on a wheelchair user, or came to breakfast unwashed and wearing inappropriate nightwear. Perhaps the hotel management could consider a 'no service if wearing nightwear' rule?”
