Welcome to the Mount Hermon Cabin in the Trees (Permit 251355), a cozy, rustic retreat nestled among the redwoods. This classic cabin features a kitchen, one bedroom, one bathroom, a comfortable living area, and a serene sunroom with a pull-out couch. Ideal for guests seeking a simple, nature-forward stay with traditional cabin charm, and a great home base for hiking Henry Cowell State Park or visiting Mount Hermon Adventures.



The Space:

- Comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests

- 1 bedroom & a sun room with a pull-out sofa sleeper

- There are 2 reserved parking spots in the "driveway" of the house. It is a gravel area down below the stairs to the house.

- Fully stocked kitchen

- Living room

- Patio with outdoor seating

- For safety, the fireplace is not in use.

- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.

- This home is pet friendly for 1 dog (30 lbs or less) for a $25/night fee. This fee will be added after the booking is confirmed and the initial booking is paid for -- Let us know if you want to bring your Dog! We are not able to host any other types of pets at this home.



Guest Access:

Guests will have full access to the entire home, including a patio. There are two parking spots designated for this unit.



The Neighborhood:

Felton, nestled in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, is a charming and rustic town with a rich history and natural beauty. Home to the iconic Roaring Camp Railroads, it's a place where the past meets the present. The lush landscapes of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park invite hiking, camping, and picnicking among ancient redwoods. Felton's small downtown area exudes a friendly, small-town ambiance with unique shops, local eateries, and a strong sense of community. For those seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to nature, historic sites, and a warm community, Felton is the perfect destination.



This is not a good place for gatherings or parties so please keep that in mind when booking this home. We are very respectful of our neighbors and will not tolerate loud noise past curfew and additional guests at the property.



Getting Around:

- Mount Hermon attractions (short walk)

- Downtown Felton (3 minute drive)

- Scotts Valley (5-10 minute drive)

- Santa Cruz (15 minute drive)

- Roaring camp (10-15 minute walk or a short drive)



Other Things to Note:

- This charming one-bedroom cabin also features a pullout couch in the sunroom for extra sleeping space. Please note that this is not a private space and there are no curtains on the exterior windows.

- Please note that the home does not have central heating or air conditioning. Due to its location nestled in the trees, it generally stays cool. We provide fans and space heaters to keep you comfortable during your stay. For safety reasons, the fireplace is not operable.

- There is no washer or dryer at the cabin, but a convenient laundromat is located just down the street.

- Please be mindful of noise, as there is a separate unit downstairs. We want to ensure all guests have a peaceful experience.

- The property has a steep staircase with around 50 steps leading up to the cabin. We recommend exercising caution, and if you have any concerns, please reach out for more details before your stay.

- We have landscapers, pest service, and other property maintenance done on a weekly basis. You may see or hear these service professionals during your stay as they let themselves into the backyard to service as needed. Please be sure to ask about this before booking if you think it might be an issue for you.

- The exterior of this home is monitored by 24/7 surveillance recording devices for safety.

- We are required to stick to our cancellation policy and we suggest adding trip insurance for any last minute issues that may impact your travel (Weather, Illness, etc). We are not able to cancel, move or refund bookings that do not fall in our cancellation policy for any reason.
