North Star, a private log cabin with a gorgeous view in Leatherwood Mountains

North Star Cabin, located on almost 16 acres within the popular gated Leatherwood Mountains Resort community, offers a real log cabin experience with all the modern amenities. Peaceful, comfortable and private, North Star Cabin has main-level living, boasting a well-stocked kitchen, new appliances and plenty of seating for meals. Our two mirror-image bedrooms feature queen memory foam beds, smart TVs ready for your devices, and fully equipped ensuite bathrooms with separate showers and garden tubs. Our coffee bar provides both a Keurig and a drip-coffee machine, and complimentary K-cups, ground coffee, tea and condiments to begin your mornings.

Relax in front of the gas log fireplace, put your feet up and enjoy music with our Bluetooth-enabled Bose Soundbar or the large smart TV, all connected with 1G fiber internet. Climb the spiral staircase and enjoy our library loft, furnished with two reading chairs, ottomans and an abundant supply of books to choose from. North Star Cabin also provides a small office area with a desk and wireless printer (USB connection included), just in case you need to do a little work during your stay.

There is no better place to experience the quiet beauty of nature than on one of North Star Cabin's two decks. Savor your morning cup of coffee on the back deck while enjoying the ever-changing layered view of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Listen to the soothing sound of the creeks below while lounging in one of the Adirondack chairs, or soaking in the hot tub. Seating areas on the back deck are accessible from each bedroom and from the living area, giving full access to the amazing view. North Star Cabin's front deck provides a large table for outdoor dining, a new gas grill and a fire table and chairs, perfect for s'mores and stargazing.

During your stay, enjoy the amenities Leatherwood Mountains has to offer. Lounge by the community swimming pool or enjoy the newly refurbished tennis/pickleball court. Try your hand at catch & release fishing at Raymond's Pond, or fish for dinner in Elk Creek (license required). Leatherwood Mountains offers miles of hiking trails, horseback riding, tubing, zip-lining, and its own Saddleback Bar & Grill (seasonal hours).
