  • Quaint log cabin nestled in the woods on 800 feet of private lakeshore on beautiful Lake Butterfield. This peaceful retreat offers a serene setting inviting you to slow down, rest and relax while reconnecting with nature and yourself. Sit on the large front porch with your morning coffee and enjoy a stunning view of the lake.

    This cabin has all the amenities one needs for the perfect getaway. Take the canoe, kayak or paddleboard on the lake or go for a swim. Read a book in the hammock, play a game of bocce ball in the yard or roast marshmallows at the outdoor firepit. Bring your bikes and take advantage of the Cuyuna bike trails in nearby Crosby or the Paul Bunyan Trail. For the golf enthusiast, courses are close by including Emily Greens, Crosswoods and Golden Eagle Golf Club. And don’t forget putt-putt in Crosslake!

    Snuggle up on cooler days next to the wood burning fireplace and play games or take a nap. Visit popular Crosslake minutes away to enjoy restaurants and shopping.

We had a great 4th here! Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Fantastic firework show on the lake as well! Fishing was great and plenty of ways to get out on the water despite their not being public boat access! We have zero complaints!

Fantastic location

I’ve been doing a buddies trip for several years now, and we all agreed that this was the best cabin yet. Great amenities, proximity to town, and lots to do in the area. We will definitely look at staying here again next year.

We had a wonderful extended weekend away at this relaxing and fun lake home. Our hosts were fantastic and responsive with our questions. They have all the details covered to help with a great stay at the lake! We would definitely return again sometime!

Absolute gem

We absolutely love staying at this property! It’s clean, organized and very private. It’s an absolute gem!! You couldn’t ask for a better cabin on a lake to enjoy rest, nature and lake life. The owners are amazing and the property has everything you could want.

Wonderful vacation

This property is a relaxing quiet, mostly private place to relax. The owners are very responsive if there are issues. They have added AC in case it gets hot. A perfect lake retreat. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Look no further this is it!

This is a beautiful cabin in a tranquil, seclusive piece of private property close to where we needed to be. It was perfect. I wish I could have brought our kids they would have had a blast with all there was to do. Thank you so much for sharing this unique cabin in the woods on a lake.

Lovely cabin

We quickly felt at home in this lovely cabin on a peaceful bay filled with water lilies. The owners do a great job anticipating the needs of their guests and make the cabin very welcoming. The access to binoculars, fire pit, canoe, kayak, and paddle board was much appreciated. Thank you!

The log cabin was very clean. We used the canoe and kayaks that were available. We caught a meal of sunfish. It's so quiet and peaceful we are just in awe!

Great Getaway

Our family had a fantastic vacation at this lovely log cabin by the lake! We used the canoe a lot and did some fishing. Our stay had several rounds of rain but we stayed in the cozy cabin and played games. The location is close to a couple small towns that have everything you need. The front porch was nice to relax on and enjoy all of God's creations.

The property was beautiful. Had a great time fising off the dock and in the rowboat. The stack of firewood was high and we managed to use it all. Chilly nights! Absolutely loved it. So very relaxing just watching the hummingbirds. Truly a great vacation!!

This charming log cabin is a secluded getaway with beautiful lake views, perfect for the two of us who needed to retreat from our hectic schedules and daily demands. The shoreline is beautiful mix of natural vegetation that is an oasis for many of nature’s inhabitants. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this location. Sitting on the dock and soaking up the beauty of creation restored our souls. We made use of the rowboat to go fishing and caught our limit of sunnies in two locations on Butterfield Lake. We also took two delightful canoe trips around the entire shoreline. The large fire ring was great for an early evening fire. The basement had a musty odor, so we hung a sheet over the bottom of the stairs to the basement to reduce air exchange. That solved our concerns. The cabin was stocked with cookware, utensils, plates, glassware, etc. that we needed in the kitchen and we enjoyed opening the windows to let the natural air conditioning of the lake breezes flow through the cabin. We didn’t need to use the upstairs bedroom, but that would be a fun spot for the kiddos. The hosts were communicative and friendly. We would certainly love to come back to this cabin on beautiful Butterfield Lake.
