“We arrived in the early-afternoon, and struggled with finding access to the main 'entrance'. After parking and walking around the perimeter of the lodge, we found a keypad which rang into the host of the property. The host was relaxed and laid-back, which spoke to the location of our stay; Can Bassa is tucked 25-minutes outside of Girona, with no local amenities (gas, grocery, food) accessible. “I was there for just one night. The staff was very helpful helping me park and accommodating my early checkout (well before any of the staff was set to arrive for the day). It's just a 5 minute walk to the beach and the beautiful castle, with over a dozen restaurants to choose from. The room was small, but it had a cute balcony and was clean and comfortable. The mattress was very firm. There is no elevator, so I had to drag my suitcase up to the third floor using the stairs. Overall a good stay.”
