Sand Dollar (new for 2024) - a beach house that sleeps 5 guests in 2 bedrooms

  • Sand Dollar Beach House is situated on Blue Anchor Road, close to the beach, tennis court, playground and village centre. Perfect for a quiet break away from it all, with a deck and boules court to the front and parking bay for 2 cars at the rear.

    Enter through the side door into the hallway with coat storage. To your left are the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and the second bedroom with bunk beds ideal for children. There is an optional pullout truckle bed for a small child too. There is also another shower room with jack-and-jill doors.

    To the right is the open-plan kitchen / dining / lounge space with sofa and armchair, with bifold doors to the deck with outdoor seating for 4, ideal for alfresco dining or sitting out whilst the children play outside on the boules court.

    We leave a few games for our guests to use.

    There is a smart TV in the living room and further TVs in both bedrooms.

    The log burner makes this beach house warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

    Parking for 2 cars side by side behind the house too.

    Please note the driveway/path sleepers can be uneven and slippery when wet and therefore this property may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.

We booked last minute, it was really easy. Great location, lovely beach hut/lodge. It had everything we needed and was lovely and clean.

A must stay

Having stayed at several locations on the bay this is by far the most inviting and homely beach house. Perfect location for a short walk to all the amenities, however its in a very quiet location, that may not suit all families. Will definitely be returning often.

April 2025

Had a fantastic 4 day break in 2 of the lodges. We were offered a few variations for our needs by emailing in. Booking was easy and informative. The lodges were awesome my kids had a sense of freedom heading off to play football and we were confident they were safe. Ate at the pub first night we arrived and enjoyed some day trips out to Scarborough and Bridlington great location for heading out! The beds were so comfortable we all slept like logs! Will for sure be back!

Surpassed expectations

Very impressed by the high quality of everything in the cabin.decor and kitchen, appliances and utensils.the outlook was onto a quiet space and appreciated the deck had a low wire for small dogs which was very effective for ours .Overall very happy.

A lovely Stay at Sand Dollar

A lovely week in this beautiful property. The property was well equipped and generally very clean apart from a layer of dust on the speaker under the television and a few dark dog hairs on the sofa. Very comfy beds and the lodge was very cosy.

Beautiful beach Lodge

Had a brilliant stay at this beautiful beach with my dog, it was a perfect comfortable and relaxing base to explore the area. I felt like I was on holiday as soon as I stepped inside the lodge. The property uses the space really well and is lovely and bright with natural light and the fenced decking was perfect for my dog. We will definitely be back.

New years break

We’ve stayed at The Bay many of times but this was our first time in The Sand Dollar but won’t be our last. Great quiet location (if getting deliveries - food/takeaway etc leave a note to state it is not the beach house next to 16 but round the corner, out Asda delivery went to wrong one) “Proper” couch that was comfy, a priority for my partner apparently. Kids loved the bunk beds.

Happy Customers!

We've stayed many times at the Bay and have seen a significant decrease in the standard of cleaning to the point we thought we wouldn't go again. Sand Dollar has restored our faith and all credit goes to the team Paula uses. The location was perfect and would definitely use Filey Bay Direct in the future.
