“My husband and I had a wonderful couple of nights at Chanterelle. We stayed in a room in the main building. We loved the peacefulness of the place. It was such a relaxing place to stay. Breakfast was delicious! We booked dinner for the one evening. We were so glad we did. It was an 8 course meal. Every dish was excellent! Would recommend if you’re looking for peace and relaxation and excellent food!”

“I had a lovely stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast had lots to choose from and was delicious. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. In fact the morning person printed off 15 copies of a 4 page document and did not charge me!! I have stayed here before and will stay the next time I am in Sydney ”

“Although the front staff were absolutely lovely, the room was not entirely clean. After locating an already used bar of soap in the shower sitting on top of the shampoo and conditioner bottles and hair on the walls, I asked the front desk if housekeeping could go and clean the washroom. They were deeply sorry and said they’d send someone right away. After being out of the room all day I came back to them having been there to “clean” but the bar and hair were still there. “Nice enough hotel. Food was okay. The staff were very friendly. I am baffled that they do not include bottled water in the rooms. This would not be too bad if the tap water so was not so heavily chlorinated. If you typically drink water before bed or during the night then make sure you bring water with you.”

“No shoes allowed from the front door throughout the hotel. So take some slippers!! The owner makes you feel like you are invading here space and makes you feel like her time is more important than the customers time. There are lots of rules and $100 potential fine if you make a sound or wear your shoes. The owner can be quite sarcastic . Lastly She was upset by the amount paid. I booked online so they set the price not me.”

“Clean room, hot tub was on deck. Super relaxing night. Close walk to main lodge for dinner and breakfast. Sauna was really wuick to heat up and had me sweating bullets. Beautiful views in a great location just off the main Cabot Trail road. Highly recommended. Will return”
