Amazing Vacation

House was awesome. The layout was great. The cockroaches everyone keeps talking about are palmetto bugs(very common in Florida). They were on the outside patio. We ended up staying an extra 2 weeks and we loved everything about the stay. The private beach is amazing. The sunrises were beautiful. The only thing that was weird was the stove. The “HI” is really “LO”. WiFi was not that good, but we still loved the place and will be back again next year. The dog had a blast also.

Had cockroaches, dishwasher didn’t work, there was food left from previous renters, broken canopy left in yard along with other junk and overall just unclean. Contacted them when we arrived and finally heard back 4 days later that they would move us to a condo but we only had 2 days left at that point so was not worth the time to move. Very disappointing when you spend all that money to stay somewhere and it turns out this way.

The Cockroach House

We arrived and the house was dirty, but the location is incredible. Upon arrival I immediately called VACASA to ask if they could send someone to clean the house or be able to move us. They told us they needed to talk to the local team and would let us know. So we went for a walk on the beautiful beach and waited. Called again and were told the same thing. After the third call I called VRBO directly and they called the host and we were told they would refund the cleaning fee and one night or we could move at this point we have cleaned the kitchen l, bathroom and table and swept because I needed to feed our children, so we decided okay that’s fair we will clean and stay. Fast forward we go to bed (the beds had been changed/bedrooms were clean) and my son wakes up to use the restroom and sees cockroaches! So we look now that it’s dark and they are in the kitchen and all over the Lani! Thankfully we did not see any in the bedrooms! I immediately text and email at 2 am and ask for a full refund.then start looking for other places to stay. I finally call VACASA around 6 am and they inform me that they need to talk to the local team. Hours later after we have already left around 10 am they text and say that they have 24 hours to remedy the situation and will not give us a refund. They wanted to fumigate and clean! Long story short after multiple phone calls (hours of time) and then calling VRBO again they finally agree to a refund over 12 hours after my first request!

House was very dirty. Driveway very difficult.outside living area had not been properly cleaned in ages. 2nd bathroom with shower open into bedroom was a first for me and sink and toilet in a small closet was a joke Furniture was all dirty. But the view was excellent.

Christmas/ Birthday Getaway

Pictures always make a plac3 look bigger but we didnt care. The place was clean and the location superbRight on the beach. Dog loved it and friends and family who came to celebrate had a super time. We were very impressed with all the cooking utensils as i cooked everyday and brought some of my own pans but really didnt need to. Beds were comfy too. Ee jad everything we needed.

Family Getaway

We had a great stay at Seaside Hideaway! While the weather wasn’t super cooperative with allowing us to hang out at the beach or on the patio, the views were still great and very relaxing. The house itself was remodeled with great taste and had pretty much everything our little family needed. We brought our two kids (4 and 1.5) and our dog (with approval). Our 4 year old loved the bunk room! We came about two weeks after Hurricane Milton, so there was some things that I’m assuming haven’t been addressed since the hurricane (part of the fence to the neighbor’s was down, the patio was a little messy with lots of sand and the cushions not super clean). But the inside of the house was very clean and comfortable. The only thing I would recommend is the couches could use some TLC…white couches in a vacation rental is brave! A couple things that would make our stay a bit easier, or recommendations for other families with small children: the main shower does not have a removable shower head that would make washing the littles much easier. I knew there wasn’t a tub, which is fine, but a handheld shower head would have made shower time better. Also, the bunk room could use come curtains for the glass doors into the main room. Thankfully I noticed this before coming and brought our own travel black out curtains, so we could still hang out in the main room when the girls were in bed. Overall though, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommended this home!

The ocean in the backyard was beautiful and refreshing. Everything we wanted to see and do was easy to access. This is the way to stay when visiting Florida!

Great location and cute house!

This house looks just like the pictures. It’s an older house that’s been updated very well. We basically lived on the back patio. The only downside was that the beds were really hard. Other than that it was perfect and we would definitely rent again.

Lovely property. Not suitable for children since the sand is very rough on the feet and the surf/undertow is also very strong. We could not swim at all. We loved the outdoor/porch space since it is covered and protects from sun and weather enabling us to be outside at all times to eat or read or just sit and enjoy the view. We took lots of photos of the sunrises and turbulent ocean.

Beautiful sunrises and great evening skies

First, I must say that the house is a beautiful, tastefully decorated, well-equipped cottage on the beach. The amazing views from the back covered porch extend for miles. The back porch was a great place to sit in the morning and evening, and there was also a sun deck overlooking the beach. We spent a great deal of time watching the wildlife in and along the water and did some fishing as well. Unfortunately during our visit, there were large construction trucks driving by during the day that are part of a major on-going beach rehabilitation project, working to save the beach which had been severely impacted by a hurricane. This went on from around 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, with huge dump trucks hauling loads of sand driving up and down the beach. It was so loud that it shook the house each time they drove by. The trucks made 3 foot deep ruts we had to climb over to get to the beach, and the trucks didn't slow down or stop for us. We contacted the management but did not receive a response regarding this. We felt that we should have been made aware of the situation prior to our making a reservation. The house was neat and relatively clean, with the exception of some soiled disposable cleaning rags on one of the bathroom floors, and the kitchen sink had some gritty, greasy deposit in it which I cleaned. An expert cleaner should not have overlooked these. All in all, we did enjoy our stay, the place is beautiful, but during the day we drove elsewhere for some peace and quiet.

Perfect Beach Getaway

Beach perfection! We didn’t explore the area, but we didn’t need to — we just wanted to enjoy the beach in April (beach bums from MA) and that we did. Pictures are just as they seem. The house is beautiful & location is great. Don’t underestimate the covered patio area — we basically lived there with our 4 kiddos when we needed to escape the sun for a bit and ate every meal there. If you have young kids you should know all bedrooms get a lot of light, so you may want to bring travel shades. We brought one for the baby, but wish we had more. I do wish there were a few more towels, bath & beach. There were 6 of us and only 4 beach towels. There were 2 beach chairs, but one was broken. I reached out to the house manager, but never got a reply. Also, there was major beach construction going on. Huge trucks driving back and forth every 20 minutes or so. Completely understand this is something that can’t be helped (and our kids thought it was awesome), but I do wish we had known in advance. My husband had to work for most of one day and keeping an eye on my older kids swimming and making sure my little one wasn’t darting in front of a monster truck behind me wasn’t super relaxing. Had I known I would’ve brought our beach playpen to keep the little contained. If not for the construction though, I think I could’ve stayed forever. Would definitely go back again!

Perfect getaway!

This was the perfect getaway for our family! The easy access to the beach was by far the best part with three young kids. The views were so breath taking, and being able to sit with the door open and hear the ocean was so relaxing. It fit all of us perfect and is well stocked with everything you would need. The town of Flagler was perfect too! Not overly commercialized, but still plenty of great local spots to check out. The property could use some maintenance (weeds, back patio wasn’t cleaned, broken handle inside) but overall it was still a great place to stay and we would definitely come back.

Amazing Beach House!

Our family had such a good time staying at this property! Not only was it extremely clean and put together well, but the view was exquisite! This home is designed and kept up very well, and the location could not have been better. Whether it’s the private beach, the patio view, or the town of Flagler Beach- it was such a refreshing experience. My family had a blast and we would love to come back!

Perfect beach experience.

This property had all the amenities we wanted. The location was perfect and we loved the Lani. Although we didn't experience any difficulties, I did contact the property manager and left a message. She quickly responded and was quite pleasant.

Wonderful location

I rented this house for a girls weekend, but definitely plan to rent again with my family! The house was very clean, but it could use a little love. My only two complaints for inside are that the fridge was old and rusty and the light switches need labels. The exterior is a little rough too, which is expected from a house this close to the beach. The location made this house though. It is right on the beach, and it is nice to be so close to the house while having a beach day. If you love cozy beach shacks, i would definitely recommend this place for just about any occasion.

Awesome for What we Needed

The descriptions and photos on this property are all very accurate. The interior was very clean and gave room for the 4 of us to spread out when needed. There was a little existing damage (a light, some blinds, and the table) when we checked in, and some of the fans/lights did not work. Also there are switches in some rooms that control fans/lights in other rooms which was confusing until we figured it out. The exterior of the home needs some love and attention but we were not hanging out on the lanai for long, nor in the yard so we could live with it. This house was awesome for what we needed. It was a basecamp to sleep (beds were all very comfortable), clean up, and change clothes before going to the beach, out to eat, and exploring the surrounding area. We watched the sunrise every morning from the lanai, and enjoyed the beach every day which was only steps away from the back door. We were not expecting the Ritz when we checked in but we got a great family vacation despite the few minor issues listed above. All in all I would recommend the house, but only if you do not plan on sitting in the house all the time. If you are a homebody on vacation, you should look at other houses in the area.

Sunrise

Great location, the house was comfortable for my husband and me. We had some trouble opening the front door at first, but my husband used a little shoulder power and we had no trouble after that with the door. There were very few instructions with this house. Just what to do on check-out. We had no experience with ROKU TV, so could not get network programs. We are used to the notebook that comes with VRBO houses and realized how much we appreciated them, after not having one. If you want a perfect location on the beach, this is the house for you. Johanna, the property manager was very helpful.
