“Lovely accommodating owners of the guest house. Nice room and bathroom. Area to sit downstairs and watch the TV, which was lovely. Surrounded by nice walks and a local pub. Breakfast was also nice. I cannot fault the place.”

“The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.”

“Lovely boutique hotel and gastro pub with plenty of parking. Very friendly staff throughout. Choice of themed rooms, each seemed to have their own unique features. The dinner and breakfast the next day were excellent. Highly recommended.”

“The themed rooms are a must, we stayed in the chocolate room and were spoilt with treats. We were celebrating a birthday and the birthday boy was given a balloon, beer and card, to make the event more special. The staff were friendly. The tasting menu was delicious and substantial. The breakfast was a must and worth staying over for. The little extra, the home made granola, yoghurt with fruit compote were an unexpected delight. We left with a homemade chilli jam. ”

“5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history.
