STONECLIFF- Questa pittoresca baita di montagna si trova nel cuore delle Blue Ridge Mountains, a circa dieci miglia da Boone ea dieci miglia da West Jefferson.

Per goderti il fiume puoi guidare e camminare fino al New River. Questa comunità di cabine ha un lago privato con gazebo pic-nic e spiaggia.

Se ti piace il nuoto, pesca, canoa, tubi, rafting, speleologia, escursionismo, ciclismo, anticatura, shopping, o una cena elegante, questa posizione offre tutto questo, più relax. Controllare il cestello di opuscoli (in soggiorno) per informazioni su queste e molte altre attrazioni locali. Il divertimento non finisce mai!

Questa bella camera da letto con tre camere da letto e due bagni ha un impressionante camino a legna da dieci piedi e dieci piedi di fiume, come un bel punto focale. Wifi gratis. Le famiglie tutti godono il soggiorno aperto, sala da pranzo e cucina con pavimenti in legno Hickory. Con due camere da letto e un bagno completo al primo piano e una master suite al piano superiore, c'è un sacco di spazio per tutti. A / C di nuova installazione nel 2017.

La prima camera da letto al piano inferiore è composta da due letti singoli e si chiama 'camera Bear' (si vedrà perché). La seconda camera è chiamata la 'Sala Bianca' e promette puro comfort e facilità. Al piano superiore si trova la master suite di lusso con zona trucco e bagno.

Rilassatevi fuori e godersi la cima di un albero di vista sulla avvolgente ponte con tavolo da pranzo, sei sedie, due rocker, e grill a gas per voi divertimento. Sbirciare tra gli alberi e guardare gli uccelli volano tra il paesaggio montano. C'è anche una panchina tranquilla fuori per i motivi più bassi - serenità resa semplice.

Al piano inferiore si trova la sala giochi con tavolo pieno formato da ping pong, freccette torneo, e un biliardino free standing. Ci sono anche un sacco di giochi da tavolo, puzzle e DVD (o portare il proprio). La zona soggiorno ha accesso DSL attraverso un modem DSL e router wireless. Appeso sotto il ponte, si trovano 2 tubi di fiume, che aspettano solo di galleggiare giù il New River.

We are friends who used to tube the New River on visits and it had been five years. This place had everything we could have wanted for the weekend. And it smelled like a campfire which was amazing.

Relaxing getaway

The inside of the house was very clean and the set up was perfect for two couples and three kids. For three nights it would have been nice to have at least two wash clothes per person. The outside area was nice but dirty, would have been nice if at least blown off prior to arrival. And if I have to hand wash the dishes it would have been nice to have a dishrag, sponge or brush. Minor complaints but kept it from being a perfect stay.

Nice, but could've been cleaner

Overall this property was nice and worked for what we needed. It had a good amount of space for our group of 7. Parking was a bit tight (we had 3 vehicles) as it is just a small section on the side of the road but all cars fit with cautious guidance and going bumper to bumper. It is difficult to turn around in the neighborhood as well. I would say that this property is more family friendly for those with older kids. We had a 3 and 2 year old with us and with the uneven stone landing, and the exterior doors that only locked the outside access - meaning the kids were able to open the locked doors from the inside - we were on high alert. The house is on a pretty steep hill, so unsteady kids wandering around outside definitely made us a bit nervous. The biggest issue we had was the cleanliness of the the king bed in the master bedroom. When we arrived and checked the place out, it all looked great, but when we went to bed that night, we pulled back the covers to discover that there was hair, that clearly didn't belong to us, all over the pillow cases, sheets, and comforter. I'm not talking just one or two hairs, it was all over the bedding, top to bottom, inside and out. We had to spend a chunk of time picking all the hair off which left us feeling like the sheets hadn't been washed at all. It made for two restless nights of not feeling "clean". Now, we went to bed late Friday night so didn't want to reach out to management that late and because we already dealt with it for one night, and removed all the hair, we didn't want to deal with the hassle of having to have someone come squeeze around all our stuff and change it, so those two restless nights is partially on us. The other beds seemed to be fine and clean, but this set definitely wasn't. The kids also found an old pacifier and some other stuff under the side tables and couch in the living room, adults probably wouldn't have seen it so I see how it was missed, but wanted to mention it. The game room floor was pretty dirty as well with hair and dead bugs. The rest of the house did seem clean, but for us, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the bed and the game room and probably wouldn't stay here again because of it.

Beautiful Home

We loved staying in this beautiful home. We had everything we needed. The fireplace was a hit with our group as we had April snows while we were there. Just a FYI if you are planning to use the upstairs room with the extra daybed and trundle, there is not door on the bathroom so using the facilities was a little hard as people had to leave the room for showers etc. Also the window in the shower up there is regular glass and looks on to the porch of the house next door. It is very uncomfortable showering as you feel very exposed. These items are not deal breakers for us as we will happily return in the future. The house was very clean overall.

What a great weekend !!! Enjoyed a wonderful Family weekend with friends from Florida who had never seen snow or been in a winter. Beautiful property close to attractions such as beech mountain and blowing rock. All the amenities, all the space. Didn’t want for anything !!! Can’t wait to come back again.

The area was very cute about 20 minutes from Boone. The cabin was decorated very cute and updated. The kitchen was very well equipped. The only complaint I have is that we couldn’t get the wood for the fireplace to light up and we had to wash our own sheets before we slept in them, other than that, it was a great stay.

Awesome vacation spot

This was our 1st time renting a cabin and it did not disappoint. They have everything you need to cook with on top of space heaters and fans if you need those as well. Parking was a little scary and can only fit 2 cars but it's all they had to work with so I get it. I would definitely recommend this cabin. Good location and beautiful and quit!

winter retreat

Overall, we had a fantastic time. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of space and each had a bed. The cabin was beautiful and very clean, we had everything we needed to prepare meals over the weekend. The surrounding area is beautiful, we got some snow! The only negative is the parking, literally on the side of the cliff right off the one way only road. Only room for 2 vehicles, glad we didn't bring a 3rd! I would suggest adding that parking description in to the listing so there aren't any surprises. We would stay here again!

We had an amazing time, this place is beautiful, the house has everything, you wont miss anything,

You wont miss anything in this house, its like being in your own house, everything was so clean and new. the kitchen has all the little things to bake, to cook, to barbecue ect. I will come back next year again. Its not closed to the skiing area but the house is worth to drive 40 min to go skiing and we did it everyday no problem! we have 3 children (13 y/o, 11 y/o and 5 y/o) and they loved to sleep on the room upstairs and the playroom. Great touch!!!!

Nice property for a weekend trip to the mountains. We fit seven people in the cabin and there were enough beds for everyone to sleep in. Good location near the river for tubing!

Overall stay...a snuggly nest for 5 tired birds. Complaints...parking was a bit tricky Expected a slightly larger unit...BUT... turns out size was perfect...silly me. We had no idea the boys would spend so much time playing pingpong and slinging darts. Nearby grocery (Food Lion) spectacular. Great produce. And the tiny town Todd was super cute. Intimate, sweet, thoughtful conversations were had with coffee mugs in hand on the deck...and after exploring in town or horseback riding superb dinners were prepared and enjoyed as important decisions were made over which movie to watch with dessert. Enjoyable time near the New River.

Property was clean and well stocked. The basement was accessible from outside only. The description that the river is steps away from the house is a bit misleading. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Stonecliff.
