A Fantabulous dreaming Terrace in FLORENCE Ponte Vecchio

Al secondo piano di uno stupendo palazzo storico, Casa Leopardi si articola su due livelli (zona giorno/zona notte) e offre una bellissima terrazza con vista mozzafiato sui tetti di Firenze.
Il palazzo dove è situato, che prende il nome dalla strada collinare (“costa” nella tradizione fiorentina) intitolata a San Giorgio, si trova appena Oltrarno, a 30 metri da Ponte Vecchio e a soli 10 minuti da piedi alla Stazione di Santa Maria Novella.
La storia della struttura si perde nel tempo, conservando solo alcune ma indiscutibili tracce del suo passato. Tra queste, l’iscrizione marmorea di età settecentesca in cui è testimoniato l’utilizzo dell’edificio come oratorio di Santa Maria Maddalena nei secoli precedenti.

The apartment was beautiful! Big bed, nice terrace and very quiet. There is a tiny lift so you dont have to climb stairs, however, there are about 50 stairs to climb to get to the apartment so not good if you have littles or older family members. You cant get the view without the stairs! The neighbourhood was perfect for us. Great gelato and other sights so close. Thank you for a great stay.

Great Location and Lovely Views

The apartment was quite nice and the views spectacular! It was close to many restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here again.There were a couple of drawbacks, but I'm sure they can be fixed. The washing machine door would not open and we didn't want to force it, so we didn't use it. The air conditioning didn't work when we turned it on and there were no instructions. Also, the coffee maker didn't work so we just boiled water and used instant coffee. Be sure to bring toiletries with you and we also had to purchase toilet paper!

2 nights in Florence

Florence was magical and our visit was wonderful. This lovely apartment offers a view overlooking the rooftops of Florence. Be advised that the centrally located apartment is located toward the top of a very steep and narrow one way street. Guests with mobility issues may find it challenging to navigate the hill, stairs and bathroom. Recommend to guests who are looking to experience an old world lodging and experience.

Great apt in Florence

Great apt in Florence, good location with lots of restaurants and cafes close by. Ponte Vecchio is very close as well as Palazzo Pitti. The bathroom is pretty tight especially when getting out of the shower. The apt is on a steep hill that taxis wouldn’t drive up so you might have to get out and walk up about 30 steps like we did. It’s much less steep from Ponte Vecchio as opposed to the other side. The nice thing about being up on a hill though is the great views of Florence. Overall we would stay again and had a great visit.

Lovely apartment

We enjoyed our stay! Upon arrival we had issues with the door not locking which was quite concerning, however the host was responsive & had the problem fixed by the following day! The apartment is beautiful & very spacious, although the balcony is much smaller than what appears in pictures. The unit is on the second floor & you can use the elevator for luggage, however you should prepare yourself when arriving that you are going up a hill to arrive at the apartment or climbing up steep steps. We walked from the train station (approx 20 min) & had no problem finding the unit, but the climb was tiring lol! Florence was beautiful & we hope to return again!

Lovely Stay in this VRBO Right Next to Ponte Vechio!

This was a lovely property to stay so close to the city. Getting to the place was a little difficult just based on our navigation ability, but the apartment was spacious, had the best view, and was properly accommodated for us. Our one issue was that a mosquito net hung up with not reach well to cover us so we did get some bites, but it was worth it for how amazing our stay was. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Florence (perhaps not a person with accessibility issues, but that would be better assessed by someone else).

Wonderful stay with great views from the windows of rooftops, great location. We really needed 3 bedrooms and may not have read things completely, as the unit has 2 BRs and a sleeper sofa. It was a nice stay, however.

Cute apartment in perfect location to the Ponte Vecchio

Lovely apartment for a couple. Loved the balcony with views of the city. If you have a car please use the garage Ponte Vecchio instead of garage Lurgano. It would be way easier!

Great stay in Florence

Apartment in the heart of Florence with easy access to museums and 25 min walk from train. Lovely balcony for morning cafe and view of city. We started here 3 days and were very comfortable. Did laundry 1x and appreciated the kitchen for breakfast although that was the only meal we made. Recommend for small families. We slept in master bedroom and had one kids on twin bed and the other on pull out couch in sitting area.

Location! Location!

The apartment is on the third floor but there is an elevator. The location, just around the corner from the Ponte Vecchio was perfect for enjoying Florence. The patio was small but great for two people with a fantastic view.The kitchen is small, as shown in the photos but very functional. The bathroom space is cramped and between the two bedrooms but it worked fine for us. We had a wonderful stay and definitely would recommend it.The second bedroom was small

Spacious, good location.

We loved staying in this apartment, it was spacious and easy walk to everything in Florence. The dryer was in the basement and this should be noted in listing. It was not easy to use because it was shared w/ the whole building. Serena replied back to messages quickly but was not good at following up. She would say yes to everything and not always deliver.

Wonderful Location and setting

We loved the apartment and we were conveniently located to the Ponte Vecchio as well as less than a mile from the train. The only miscommunication was that it is a 2 bedroom, not a 3 bedroom, but there is a hide-a-bed in the living room. Thank you!

A Perfect Stay

This apartment is beautiful! It’s in a perfect location - central to everything but on a quiet street, with an amazing view of Florence from every single window. The balcony is just amazing. The instructions were clear, and check in/out were very easy. We stayed at a few different places around Italy during this trip, and this was the best one by far. Would highly recommend!

Great location, comfortable, spacious, view, parking

This was a perfect location for Florence. It's removed from the crowds, quiet, but immediately accessible to everything and 2 parking garages immediately nearby. The larger bed is very comfortable but the smaller 1-person bed (a cot really) has bars and was not suitable for our 6' son. Conad immediately nearby, restaurants, all very convenient. Balcony tiny but very nice, lovely view. Note: we paid much more here in Florence for tourist tax than elsewhere, also be very careful dealing w/Serena the host.
