We are in a historic neighborhood called San Lorenzo, directly in front of the old Central Market, very close to the Duomo and the most important cultural sites and amenities. The apartment is on two levels of a building with no lift constructed around the turn of the nineteenth century in Liberty Style architecture. It is very calm - no noise will disturb you - and it is also very close to the main railway station, Santa Maria Novella. It is just a private room with the toilet shared just with me only .

The neighborhood is lovely and vibrant during the day and very quiet at night. At the Central Market you will find a wide and excellent variety of Italian food products. In the San Lorenzo historic street market there are many characteristic stalls, one after the other offering lovely Florentine leather goods and many other items. Nearby are many bars, cafes, and wine, pastry, food, clothing and jewelry shops. The house is very close to the railway station santa Maria Novella,10 m by foot.

In addition to your own full, independent bedroom - you will be pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the double bed is, I guarantee you !! -

Situato in centro storico nel quartiere di San Lorenzo ove potrete trovare diverse attrazioni quali ,ristoranti,pubs e bars; inoltre è presente sia un mercato della pelletteria,sia il mercato centrale su due piani di cui il primo è vocato per i turisti,l'altro è più residenziale; io vi consiglio di visitarli entrambi. Il letto è matrimoniale king size, molto comodo,l'appartamento si trova all'ultimo piano senza ascensore ed il bagno è condiviso con me. L'appartamento è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria di santa maria novella,10 minuti a piedi e vicino ai maggiori punti d'interesse della città,quali il duomo,gli Uffizi,l'accademia delle belle arti,ove si trova il David originale,insomma siete in centro. Benvenuti!!

If you expect a cozy room.. It's not cozy. It's a room in the house of the landlord, and you must share the bathroom with him. The room is a kind of closet with old things inside, the ones you should probably throw away but you don't have the courage. It's not clean, a bit smelly. We decided not to stay and come back home. For 97 euros, you can find much much better.

Centre historique

Chambre double, aucun rangement, salle de bain sans verrou et partagée avec le propriétaire. Etage très élevé sans ascenseur. Très bruyant, marché tous les jours.

Reasonable room in a great location

The best thing is the location, and the accommodations were good. Having read the reviews we knew what to expect and were not surprised. The downsides were mainly the six flights of stairs and the fact that the bathroom is shared. Antonio was accommodating and offered good advice about what to see and where to eat. A couple things that could be done easily to improve the stay for guests would be to provide some closet and/or drawer space and to have a clear place in the bathroom for a guest towel (rather than in the bedroom).

Extremely DISAPPOINTED with this property. By far the grossest place I’ve ever stayed. We were NOT aware the time of booking it is a SHARED SPACE (shared bathroom and bedroom in the basement) or we wouldn’t have booked it. The bathroom was disgusting, smelt and not clean at all. There was NO LOCK on the bathroom door nor a lock on our bedroom. We left the fan and light on one day and came back to it all turned off and the window open so he was definitely in our room which I did not like at all. The room we stayed in was obviously someone’s room. There was old junk in the nightstands and clothes in the closet. The far outlet beside the bed did not work so we could not charge our phones and there was only one light beside the bed so the room was very dark. Would definitely not recommend to female travelers as I did not feel safe. The location was the only nice thing about this room. as it is very close to the square. Still very upset we did not know it was a shared space with shared bathroom and when we confronted him about it he got very defensive quickly… Especially for the price we paid for it.

Great location, not the best apartment

This is a good spot if you're looking for something that is centrally located, but it was unclear (at the time of booking) that this was a shared facility. It was really nice staying somewhere that was so close to the middle of Florence, but sharing a bathroom that wasn't very clean and staying in a room next to the host's daughter was not ideal.

Wonderful stay

Antonio was a wonderful host. He was very accommodating and went above and beyond during our stay. The apartment is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station and right next to a wonderful market. One thing to note is that there are a lot of stairs to get to the apartment

Didn’t end up staying here

We booked Antonio’s place but didn’t end up staying due to some misunderstanding on both sides. Antonio got the dates mixed up so thought we were arriving the following day so it wasn’t ready when we arrived. He offered to quickly get it ready however it wasn’t what we were expecting as it is a shared accommodation with the host. The wording of the ad stating that the apt was on two levels and with the photos provided we did not realize that we’d be sharing bathroom etc. so wasn’t as private as we had thought. For someone who doesn’t mind that it is a great price and a great location. Antonio was very kind and refunded our payment.

Nicest host you could ask for, with a prime location

This location is amazing, being next to the central market for a variety of food and also a 10 minute walk from the train station and all tourist hotspots. The best part of the property though no doubt was the host. He was the nicest person we talked to on our weeklong trip to Italy, and made me feel like I was at home. 10/10, this is the place to book if you're unsure.

La ubicacion ws muy buena, sin embargo parece que aun no se decide si es un alojamiento para renta o uso familiar. Hay demasiadas cosas personales que te hacen sentir ajeno al uso del espacio. Tomar en cuwnta que esta en el ultimo piso Tomar en cuenta que wsta en el ultimobpiso Hay
