Spread Eagle Sanctuary

Spread eagle sanctuary is very private and exclusive to the local area. Executive home surrounded by luscious landscaping trees and shrubs with state natural areas encompassing our 15 acres for you to explore. Beautiful river views, ski hill views, groomed walking trails on our property, ATV trails, great fishing with beautiful boat landing right in the subdivision, snowmobile/ATV trails plus we have room for trailers to park and ride right onto the trails from our driveway. Private entrance into our lower level with 10 stairs into a 14x24 beautifully furnished studio suite with heated floors, a queen size bed with under bed storage and 2 closets, dining room table, coffee bar, fully furnished galley kitchen with stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, convection microwave, fridge/freezer, stove/oven. Norway springs water cooler with water from our fresh local spring, full office desk with wifi, full size bathroom with shower & tub, large living room with couch, 2 chairs, electric fireplace and 50” TV and wifi, DVR. King size sleep number bed off living room. 2 glass sliding doors onto lighted. Covered beautiful patio furnished with oversized firepit with wood and campfire stakes to make your s’mores. Wide open expansive views into nature with plenty of wildlife. We welcome short term and long term guests.

Fantastic Space & Hosts
I stayed for 2 months while completing school rotations nearby in Iron Mountain. The apartment is spacious, private, clean / well kept, and fully equipped for a long term stay. It was just me, but the space would be very comfortable for 4 adults. The kitchen had everything I could possibly need to cook as well as coffee and water provided. Bathroom had towels and basic toiletries, nice hot water, and awesome water pressure in the shower. The WiFi was great and there were plenty of outlets. The view out the back patio is beautiful and there's a fire pit and covered area with a view of the river below. The property itself is beautiful and quiet/secluded with well kept trails for walking to the river. I didn't have the opportunity, but there are ATV and snowmobile trails nearby as well. There is plenty of space to park and it's a very quick trip to town. Michelle and Dave are really friendly and welcoming hosts and ensured I had anything I needed and were always respectful of privacy. They were super responsive when I had questions and were full of great recommendations. If you want walking buddies their golden retrievers are very sweet/well mannered and often eager to tag along to the river. :) (They only came downstairs when invited. I enjoyed their company, but if you don't that's completely respected.) I highly recommend this property and will stay again when I'm back in the UP. Thanks for a great experience!

Wonderful
Short visit for Grandson's graduation so we didn't get to enjoy the property as we would've liked. Wish we could've stayed longer. Beautiful property. Spacious accommodations. Perfect location. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Dave & Michelle for sharing your home with us.
