Benvenuto!
Florence Walled Garden is a 150mq silent retreat on the top floors of a 14th-century palace. This is the home where my daughters were born: an authentic sanctuary away from the chaos, yet steps from the historic center. From the 180mq private garden, you will enjoy a unique view of Torre San Niccolò, protected by the walls fortified by Michelangelo in 1528. On the facade, the "pietrino" of the Arte di Calimala still bears witness to the noble origins of this residence.
The apartment, measuring 150mq and distributed over two levels, offers bright spaces and high-end finishes:
First Floor:
Silk Suite: air-conditioned bedroom with a King Size bed (200x200), embellished with original Ferragamo scarves and featuring an en-suite bathroom.
Living Room: large lounge with 1970s Cassina sofas and a Focus fireplace. The Carrara marble kitchen with a Gaggenau oven opens directly onto the garden.
Entrance Lounge: a welcoming entrance with a 178x208cm designer sofa bed (Lago) and a guest bathroom.
Upper Floor: Stone Suite: open-space air-conditioned bedroom with a King Size bed (200x180cm), walk-in closets, and a dedicated bathroom.
Mezzanine: a reading nook overlooking the living room with art books and a smart-working station.
The Garden (180mq): a private oasis on two levels at the foot of the historic walls. The lower level features a jasmine-covered "bersò", a Weber barbecue, and laundry facilities. The upper level offers sun loungers for relaxation in the shade of a century-old walnut tree. Right here, among the walls and trees, lies a historical curiosity from World War II that I will be happy to share with you upon your arrival.
Guests will have exclusive use of the apartment and garden (with the exception of small technical spaces reserved for personal storage). As in all authentic historic Florentine buildings, there is no elevator: reaching the apartment requires climbing 57 steps. The path is not continuous, however: the staircase is punctuated by wide landings that allow for a comfortable pause, and the steps are not excessively steep. It is a bit of light exercise that is amply rewarded by the light and the unique atmosphere of the location. Once inside, the home further develops across multiple internal levels connected by stairs, ensuring absolute silence and privacy.
I'm at your complete disposal.
See you in front of house, Via di San Niccolò 23.
Grazie!
