Super bright, modern and stylish penthouse in the very heart of Florence Historical Center.
Close to the main city landmarks and located in the historical Oltrarno area, known for its restaurants, narrow streets and tiny sidewalks, small artisan shops and local bars, mixed with the newest pubs and restaurants, creating a village atmosphere where you can almost taste the Florence of the past flavored with the freshness of the young people passing by. That’s the recipe that makes Santo Spirito and San Frediano the coolest neighborhood in the world, according to the Lonely Planet.
The house is a rare gem of the Oltrarno Area. It is incredibly bright, spacious and has always given everyone that visited it the feeling of "being at home".
Entering it, one finds itself in a huge living space with 5m high, 13th century exposed wooden ceiling, illuminated by natural light penetrating through 3 large windows. From the living space one can see through the 25m long corridor to the other end of the house, where the two windows of one of the guest bedrooms overlook a fantastic 13th century private garden (Giardino Ricasoli), the famous 16th century Forte Belvedere and a glimpse of Palazzo Pitti as well as the typical Chianti hills. This is especially mesmerising early in the morning and at night.
Adjacent to the main living space is the Dining Area with a 3m by 1m glass dining table able to sit up to 8 persons and TV Area; a cozy yet large space where one can relax reading or watching TV (65').
Next to the dining area and tv room sits the master bedroom, which is particularly interesting as it is accessed both from the dining area and corridor. The room also features a walk-in closet and en suite bathroom, featuring precious italian travertine finishings.
The kitchen is an intimate space of gathering at the core of the house; it features a kitchen "island" that can sit up to 4 persons as well as a brand new dishwasher, professional microwave, and 5 burner gas hobs for any wild cooking fantasy.
Last but not least (at all!), at the end of the house there are two spacious guest double bedrooms, overlooking Giardino Ricasoli, Forte Belvedere and Palazzo Pitti. They are both served by a stylish bathroom with walk-in shower.
Nonentheless the best thing about the house is its central position and its proximity to the countryside (Bellosguardo, Marignolle). Walk toward the Arno River and you'll be in Piazza Duomo within 8 minutes; walk in the opposite direction and you'll find yourself surrounded by 15th century villas and hudreds of centirues old olive trees, in the tuscan countryside.
