Spettacolare Oceanfront con vista sull'oceano, sul fiume e sulle dune di sabbia!

Abbiamo una splendida vista mozzafiato con un cottage bizzarro rustico con due camere da letto lato bluff disponibile con vista sull'oceano, sul fiume e sulle dune di sabbia da ogni camera. Proprio fuori dalla porta principale c'è un accesso tramite scale privato alla propria casa barca sul fiume Ten Mile. Questo fiume è una riserva naturale che può essere goduta da kayak o canoa che ti porteranno su fiume dove abbonda la vita selvaggia o verso l'oceano dove le foche, i granchi e gli uccelli offriranno molte ore di divertimento.
Porta le tue bici, il binocolo, i costumi da bagno e un buon paio di scarpe da passeggio o semplicemente un buon libro!
Questo gioiello è dotato di terrazza, piccolo barbecue, comodi arredi rustici, TV a schermo piatto con lettore Blu-ray DVD e sistema audio portatile (radio satellitare). C'è il Wi-Fi che ti dà accesso a e-mail e Internet. C'è una camera da letto privata con un letto queen-size e una spettacolare alcova con vista sull'oceano dal pavimento al soffitto contenente un secondo letto queen-size. Naturalmente c'è un bagno completo e una cucina completamente attrezzata.
Noi chiamiamo questo tesoro Seaside Serenity ed è a circa dieci-quindici minuti da Fort Bragg, abbastanza vicino per gustare ottimo cibo e shopping ma abbastanza lontano da offrire un totale relax. Cammina sulla spiaggia o attraverso le dune, lasciati incantare dalle onde o semplicemente sdraiati sul ponte con il tuo romanzo preferito.
I cani ben educati sono i benvenuti e sono soggetti a una tassa sugli animali domestici di $ 100. Vi è anche un costo di pulizia di $ 100 per soggiorno. Richiediamo un soggiorno minimo di tre notti per i fine settimana e due notti durante la settimana.

It’s a great location and views. Bonfire was fun, and we walked over the bridge to ten mile beach. My only criticism would be that there were ants everywhere. We were cleaning them off counters, furniture and even in the bed. Bring your own water too. But it was a fun little place to stay in overall!

The location, river/dunes/ocean view, and amenities can’t be beat! We played in the dunes and hunted for sea glass and shells with our two young boys for hours, just a short row from the backyard. We enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, and views out of every window and yard space. The beds are very comfortable and warm. We had magical days filled with many memories. Cathy was also super communicative and offered us suggestions for an awesome ocean bike path. The reason for the 4-star marking is the critters and smell of the water, which were not disclosed in the booking. I only later found comments about these when we searched low rated reviews. The water smelled like sulfer every time it was used, I’m sure due to the well; we just weren’t expecting it. There were spiderwebs, spiders, pill bugs, and ants in the house. We worked around it, but it was more than most expect. There was also evidence of old mouse droppings between the bed in the living room and the wall. These are all nothing a deep clean every couple of months can’t address. I would pay more for our booking if the funds went toward deep cleans of the house and more frequent pest treatments. We would definitely return, but more prepared for that part of the stay by bringing a sealed bin for our pantry food and hope that a good deep clean had taken care of webs and insects.

It is EXACTLY as pictured... and CATHY was amazing. She answered EVERY SINGLE question I had (and as Im over 70 I had alot of questions) Cathy answered each and every one and made me feel like family instead of a renter for a weekend) Cathy you are amazing. Wish I could have met you to give you a hug. Hubby and I had such an amazing short vacation. We dont get out much, and this was so amazing. I cannot wait to come again. This is such a wonderful home to stay at. Very rustic and charming. Very clean, relaxing and the views are great. We loved the fun collection of salt and pepper shakers. We will be making this home part of our next trip for sure.

Likes: The view is amazing! I enjoyed watching the sunset every night. The yard is beautiful and offers a lot of privacy. However, I have some dislikes. There was an overwhelming presence of mouse droppings everywhere! When I arrived, I found rodent droppings and ants inside the house. Thankfully, there was some cleaner available, but I really didn’t want to spend my vacation cleaning up after rodents. I had to clean mouse droppings every morning and evening. I was more than few droppings. The stove was worse. I had to wipe the stove because there was poop. Additionally, the water had an awful sulfur smell. The home has potential, with cute decor, but the floors, cupboards, and kitchen could use some updating. It also requires a deep cleaning, as there are cobwebs in many areas. Yes, I could have texted the owners to complain, but I didn't. Overall, the house has a fantastic view and is in a great location. Easy access to the beaches.

Fabulous again!

This is our second time at this wonderful cottage. This time we brought our family with us and they loved it as much as we do. It has everything we need, kayaking right from the cottage boat house, beautiful views of the ocean the river, outdoor fire pit, cornhole, outdoor barbecue, comfortable beds and couch. Lots of books to read and games to play and DVDs to watch. It’s a great place to have some downtime and quality time with your family and create priceless memories. What mortgage could you ask for! And the owners are great! We can’t wait to come back!

The house is amazing! It comes fully stocked with anything you would ever need in a kitchen. The view is spectacular. Very cozy and private. My husband can't wait to come for another visit.

Mice & Vice: A Rodent Rendezvous In Paradise

My partner and I were excited for a vacation together and thought we’d found the perfect paradise for our stay. Although the location was peaceful and check-in was smooth, the cleanliness left much to be desired. Five days after booking—after the 72-hour refund window had passed—we received a welcome letter from hosts Jim and Cathy warning that mice “occasionally visit” during warmer months and suggesting that traps were available if needed. That evening, as we settled in, we discovered mouse droppings in the kitchen pantry and behind the bed, which made us question the overall hygiene. While the hosts did send their cleaner while we were out, only one pantry shelf was cleaned after four hours—a response that felt both insufficient and dismissive given the health risk it posed to my partner and me. Although Jim and Cathy were responsive and apologetic, the unresolved rodent problem ultimately forced us to seek alternative accommodations. A charming space with potential, but until the rodent problem is fully addressed, we wouldn’t feel comfortable returning or recommending it. The water was also quite sulfuric and while it’s safe for consumption, it should have been noted before booking to avoid guests feeling the home was misrepresented.

This is my third stay at this wonderful spot! The property is comfortable, spacious, peaceful, close to everything and has amazing vistas both indoors and outdoors. We love the cozy quirkiness of the cottage. We were provided all of the amenities we could want - love the tide book! I consult it every visit. Cathy communicates very well so we have been prepared for each visit. I will keep coming back! Thank you for your graciousness and generosity Cathy!

magical spot

perfect for us. rustic. comfortable beds. could use some water system TLC (sulfur is harmless but strong in all tap water for bathing). couldn't get the wifi to work, but it's Mendocino County, and we are mostly intentionally disconnected and/or outside all day. the outside space here at the property is great, even if you go nowhere and just decide to steep in the gorgeous views. we'll be back!

Isolated relaxation

Wonderful site overlooking the Pacific dunes and ocean. Many places to sit and absorb the view including a fire pit that we used every night. The internet wifi connection was out the entire time but the owner tried hard to rectify. Because of spotty cell service it was hard to get on the net. Despite this, it was a great site to relax and enjoy the isolation. Although we did not use the kayaks, they were convenient to the waters of the estuary and would be a great way to explore.

Truly paradise!

This is the most perfect piece of property in the Fort Bragg area. It's close to town, but very secluded as well. When you take the kayaks across the river to the beach, most of the time you're the only ones there. We found sand dollars and watched the sunset. The water is chilly, but walking on the beach was very pleasant. If you don't want to kayak, just relax on one of 3 outdoor spaces with views of the river mouth, dunes, and beach with waves breaking. They have a great fire pit! Inside the house was clean. It's not bougie at all - worn and rustic, which is nice because there's less stress about scratching the floor and such. The beds were so comfortable, the pantry and fridge well stocked. We absolutely loved it and would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you for sharing your house with us Cathy!!

Check in was easy but bring a flashlight, no outside light by the gate. The living room furniture is horribly dirty and stained. Bathroom light was hard to find and it’s difficult to shower if you’re over 5’ tall. The ants were bad so don’t leave your food out. The oven did not work either. There were a couple mice as well. The beds were comfortable and warm. The view is very pretty but there is not one curtain in the whole place, the one bedroom has another house facing the window so that was a little weird. Cathy was very responsive to our messages. They have a canoe and several kayaks for you to use as well as cornhole and a fire pit. If it wasn’t for the view I would not have chosen this VRBO.
