Amazing vacation

Very nice & spacious condo. All what you need for perfect vacation. Walking distance from the beautiful quiet beach. Spectacular view on terrasse facing canal. Julio the manager is very helpful & pleasant to deal with. We spent a whole month & hope to return soon.

Disappointing vacation

The property was okay. The furniture is older and not very comfortable. The linens were clean but also fairly used. The kitchen was nice and well equipped. Location is nice but there is a lot of traffic. The pool was not usable for the first 2 weeks. It was closed by the board of health. The air conditioning system was not working and it took 10 visits over a 3 week period(I rented for 5 weeks) by different AC techs to finally install a new unit. This was very inconvenient as I had a small dog and had to arrange my plans around repair people coming to my apartment. Unfortunately y vacation was not the vacation I expected and was very frustrated and displeased how everything was handled.

Great location and very friendly owner/property manager

My coworker and I rented this space out for about 3 months. It was not only a great vacation spot, but also a great spot for temporary living. Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby and the beach is right across the street. The owner and the property manager were very accommodating and quick to address any questions or issues we ran into.

Review of Hollywood Beach condo at The Waterway

Our stay these past two months was excellent. The location of the apartment is ideal for beachgoers as the beach was one block away, and the outside patio sits on the intracoastal waterway and is a very relaxing place to sit. The apartment is well stocked with everything you may need (towels, linens, kitchen utensils, tv's, etc.). Our host, Aziz, really seems to care about your comfort and responded immediately to any of our concerns. There were 3 separate issues that arose during our stay and each time Aziz took care of the problem. Those issues included a missing mailbox key, a plumbing leak and an air conditioning problem. Each time, the problem was fixed in a timely manner with no further problems. I will be returning to Florida every February for work and hope to stay in the same apartment each year.

Worst month vacation ever! Not as advertised, dirty, COCKROACHES, difficult, unprofessional owner.

I have never written a negative review before. We stayed 2/27- 3/31. Unit was not cleaned properly. Last tenants belongings and dirty linens were left in unit. Not a new apt, just a old remodled unit. NO ocean view, wash cloths, hand towels, beach towels. NO pantry items, hair dryer or spa robe as advertised. NO mop or toilet paper in 2nd bathroom. NO instructions or checklist. Broken closet door, broken drawers in bathroom and kitchen, and burned out light bulbs. Limited kitchen utensils, Pots and pans damaged beyond use. No available unit manager, cleaning people have day jobs, if you have issues they will come after they get off work in the evening. Owner lives in Calif. Owner doesn't have unit exterminated, even tho an exterminator comes monthly. That's why there were cockroaches. Contacted VRBO on 2nd day, they told me to contact the owner and try to work things out. Owner told me, since I wasn't happy he would refund $$$ and to make sure I put that in my review. He told me to go buy the missing items. I told him it was not my job to furnish his unit. He also called me high maintenance and I needed to go to a hotel and let him know when I was leaving so he could rent it! We couldn't afford to leave. Unit smelled dirty, had to replace AC filter which had 1/8 inch of dust & dirt. This is a health hazard! Contacted cleaning lady to bring cleaned linens back for our guests. She brought them back at 11 pm after we were in bed, and asked for the last tenants belongings! I had thrown them away. 4th week, association mgr. Ms Santamaria and secretary Ms Hogges came to the door wanting to see my contract/lease, which I didn't have! She said the owner violated the association rules by not having his tenants fill out a application / registration. She said we could be evicted! She also said we didn't have a parking pass and our car could be towed. This seems to be an ongoing issue with the owner not following the rules. Glad we didn't bring our dog as planned, all grass had signs No dogs on grass. Being from Ohio our dog uses grass. Living room furniture was the most uncomfortable furniture we have ever sat on. After 2 emails to the owner from VRBO and one from me I finally received the deposit. Still waiting on $$$ he promised! When you purchase something, you expect it to be what is advertised! All we wanted was a stress free vacation. VRBO, LIST THIS AS A VACATION FROM HELL! I have photos and emails documenting everything I have posted here.

well designed and equipped unit in nice setting

We are enjoying our 2nd month in this apartment. It is a very comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit, much larger than many in the area. The kitchen, dining room, living room have everything you need to feel right at home. Bedrooms have good mattresses, linens and the 2 bathrooms are in good condition. The building is a llow rise containing 3 storeys set vey attractively with a pool and courtyard facing the intercostal. We are happy not being in a high rise. This location is quiet, people are friendly and many return yearly...a good sign. We have already reserved it for February and March 2017. The owner Aziz is very professional, easy to work with and takes care of your requests. The location is excellent as well. The ocean is across the road and the broadwalk is a short walk away.
