I booked a stay at Club Wyndham Resorts through Expedia during our vacation, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We had actually booked this stay about three months in advance expecting a smooth and relaxing vacation.
The room we received looked significantly different from the photos and description shown on the Expedia listing. The condition and overall appearance did not match what was advertised, which was frustrating after a long day of travel.
When we saw that the room did not match the listing, we informed the front desk immediately and requested cancellation. Expedia said they couldn’t process it because they couldn’t reach the hotel.
Since we couldn’t stay there, we had to quickly book another hotel at a much higher price, which was very frustrating after planning this trip months in advance.
Another uncomfortable part of the experience was the aggressive push to attend the Wyndham Vacation Club sales presentation. Even after we explained that we only had one day to spend in Miami and wanted to spend that time with our family, the staff continued encouraging us to attend the session.
We arrived around 9 PM after a long drive with tired and hungry kids, but instead of a quick check-in, we had to deal with repeated sales pitches.
