The Amazon by Holiday Park Near the Beach at Las Olas
Transport yourself to our modern take of the Amazon! Our 1/1 apartment will give you all the feels and none of the bite (so leave the bug spray behind) and enjoy this sleek and centrally-located unit in Victoria Park! It`s right across from Holiday Park, has a communal living space filled with a BBQ grill, hammock, picnic table, and fire pit. It`s perfect for families traveling together who want to book other nearby units, family traveling with pets, or even if you just need a little staycation! General House Rules Information Check-in time is 4pm / Check-out time is 11am. Sometimes the platform will allow you to select the time in which you would like to arrive and or exit. Please know that check in is always at 4PM and checkout at 11AM unless explicitly discussed and approved with us. Fort Lauderdale city ordinance quiet hours 10pm-8am. No smoking inside the house ($1000 fine)
**House Rules Intro** We have created our house rules sheet to preserve the integrity of your stay and future stays while also respecting the home and neighborhood! Following these rules will greatly help us as Vacation Rental hosts by making sure the home is taken care of during your stay. We understand that people are not a “one size fits all” category, so please reach out to us with any questions or concerns in this document. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!!
Mi casa, tu casa! But you wouldn’t intentionally damage or mess up your home, would you? We ask that you treat our property as if it was your very own as well! Please be aware of the condition of items in the house, and if you happen to notice anything broken when you arrive, please contact us to let us know. We also ask that you please watch noise levels at night. We love our neighbors! They’re nice, we’re nice to them, and we hope you are nice to them too! Noise ordinances for quiet time in the city/neighborhood are at 10pm, so please respect these rules.
Acknowledgement YOU AND THE GROUP ACCOMPANYING YOU FURTHER UNDERSTAND, INTEND AND DESIRE TO RELEASE THE MANAGER PARTIES FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE OCCUPANCY OF THE PROPERTY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA. You hereby certify that you are at least 18 years of age and you are legally competent to enter into this Agreement, including the Release, Waiver, Assumption and Indemnity provisions contained herein. You agree that it is your express intent that this release shall bind the members of your family and spouse, if you are alive, and your heirs, assigns and personal representatives, if you are deceased, and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
A/C Wall Unit Please do not have the AC thermostat below 60 degrees as this can freeze the ac unit causing damages that we will then pass along to you. Depending on guest’s perspectives, some have claimed the wall units are loud others have not. Please note a refund will not be given due to the noise from the wall unit. If we are having a wall unit replaced, in the interim, a portable ac will be there to assume the failing ac wall unit’s functionality.
BBQ Grill Any guests who plan to use our BBQ grill are welcome to do so, but please only use it if you are familiar with propane gas grills. Before & after each use, please turn on & off the propane tank and/or the knob that shuts the gas off and on. Different properties have different types. Please let us know if you have questions about the grill pertaining to your unit. Please turn on the vent fan while the grill is in use. In order to minimize a messy clean up, we ask that guests use foil and clean up the grill after use by using the grill cleaner formula provided and pouring out the drip pan. We don’t want to have grease as a fire hazard. Fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen, under the sink. The grill is clean and we’d like everyone to experience it that way! Any excess cleaning will result in additional cleaning fees. Homes in Fort Lauderdale will have copper sheets that are required for use and must be cleaned and not thrown away! We cannot stress this enough! Our cleaners will charge us for additional cleaning, and we will in turn charge you.
Beach Essentials We offer beach towels however, umbrellas and snorkeling gear are not provided. We do offer beach rentals that include chairs, coolers, wagon, and beach blankets at a fee!
Booking When you book, you are agreeing to pay all charges for your booking including the Listing price, applicable fees like, taxes, and any other items identified during checkout (collectively, “Total Price”). You are also agreeing that C’est La Vie Home Away by Jordan Mikes LLC via Cosmic Property Management or their partners may charge the Payment Method used to book the Listing in order to collect Damage Claim amounts. When you receive the booking confirmation/invoice, a contract for Host Services (a `Reservation`) is formed directly between you and the Host. In addition to these Terms, you will be subject to, and responsible for complying with, all terms of the Reservation, including without limitation, the cancellation policy and any other rules, standards, policies, or requirements identified in the Listing or during checkout that apply to the Reservation. It is your responsibility to read and understand these rules, standards, policies, and requirements prior to booking a Listing. Be aware that some Hosts work with a co-host or as part of a team to provide their Host Services.
Broken items If for any reason you break an item during your stay, please let us know immediately. We understand that accidents happen, but in order for us to fix or replace something for a future guest to enjoy, we will need to know that it is broken. We really appreciate your honesty. We take inventory of every single item in the home when it is being cleaned, including linens, appliances, towels, and decorations. If anything is missing - this will result in a fee equal to the item’s 150% replacement value.
Check-in Check-in time is from 4:00pm -12:00am. If you have a late/delayed flight, please let us know as soon as possible and we will be happy to work with you. Early check-ins are available upon request, however please understand that we cannot make any guarantees until the day of or before. If you are interested in an early check in, please reach out to us and we will let you know what the additional cost would be. Please only use the smart locks to access in and out of the unit. If you use anything other locks and lock yourselves out, we will not be liable for any additional charges and expenses associated with this. It will be charged to you. 12:30pm check-in: $200 2pm check-in: $100
Check-out Check-out time is 11am. Late checkouts are based on availability and an additional fee of $50/per hour. Unless otherwise authorized by us, please give us a 24-hour notice for late checkout requests or if you would like to extend your stay with us. Please keep in mind that we will try our best to accommodate these requests however we cannot make any guarantees that we will be able to honor your request. If you use anything other locks and lock yourselves out, we will not be liable for any additional charges and expenses associated with this. It will be charged to you. Any guest who stays after the 11am checkout time without requesting it from us previously or stays despite having their request denied will be charged an additional night’s stay and will be forced to vacate. Should we experience any cancellations or losses in our calendar arising from any check out related complications from you or any guests, you will be charged for the next booking.
Checking for & Report Damages/Issues Please note that like any home, our property may have normal wear and tear. We try our hardest to fix, replace, and bring back our property to its original form in between guests and reservations but sometimes it’s just not feasible and sometimes our previous guests don’t mention it to us. It’s your responsibility to let us know of any damages or issues you may have with the home or you forfeit the right to later deny any damages or make claims about the state of the home. All issues should be reported within the first 3 hours of entry. When reporting the issues please notify us with evidence of the issue. For example, broken blender: image or video showing that the blender does not function. For any claims that cannot be photographed, for example, a smell, we ask that guests (at their own expense) involve a neutral 3rd party professional to assess the home to validate their claims. Evidence of this must be supported and legitimized.
Children’s Safety Children are always welcome! After all, we have our own offspring! However, please keep your children safe. Our home is not childproofed. There is no pool barrier and we do not recommend using the jacuzzi tub for children. (If applicable)
Commercial Photography & Filming Guests must ask the host prior to booking if booking is done with the intent to do any commercial photography or filming. We have the right to decline any type of photography and filming. If your request is approved, please note an additional $500 fee applies to all reservations booked with the intent to film or have commercial photography. In addition, mention of our property is mandatory as a location credit @CestLaVieHomeAway. Should you decline the added fee and state that filming and/or photography will no longer take place to avoid the fee, please know that a fee will still be obliged to pay as once you are in the home, we won’t have cameras to confirm or deny that you will or will not be following through with the photography/filming.
Communal Area/Living Space All outdoor areas including the outdoor grill, fire pit, hammock, chairs, and picnic table are available on a first come, first serve basis. We expect all tenants to be respectful of the other guests.
