After completing the pre check-in sent by text earlier that day, i was told my "confirmed" reservation had been canceled earlier in the day (by the very rude girl at front desk) for no reason that could be explained and reassigned to someone else. The girl said I had to complete a new registration for a different room at a higher rate than I received through Expedia a week before, pay in full again even though I had already paid in full earlier during pre check-in with the same credit card. I never changed or canceled anything prior to arriving that evening.
After entering the "new" room which was almost unbearably hot and stuffy because the a/c had been completely off during a scorching July day in New Mexico. Truly a memorably horrible check-in experience!
So I checked the confirmation emailed after my pre check-in and my name & address had been replaced with someone from Arizona but my phone number and car information hadn't been replaced. I had already paid/submitted a photo of my ID/signed but that had been erased and a different name aling w/full Arizona address appeared. Very sketchy scenario in my opinion since the motel wasn't sold out.
My room was on the 2nd floor and inside stairs from the lobby were the only means to get my belongings inside so 2 trips were made.
It was a typical Super 8 size room just in need of cosmetic updating but the beds weren't uncomfortable so that was the only plus of my one night stay.
