Starting with the positives, the location of this property is ideal. It’s right on the beach and close to Whole Foods and a shopping mall. However, that’s where the good ends. The property itself is filthy, dirty, and outdated. While the towels were nice and fluffy, unfortunately, that was the only highlight.
The pillowcases and blankets had clearly not been washed prior to our arrival, and the apartment was extremely dusty. I really wanted to like this property, and it has potential, but it desperately needs more attention to cleanliness. Being on the beach, it’s understandable that sand might get into the apartment. However, when I requested a vacuum, I was told they didn’t have one available, forcing me to purchase a Swiffer mop to clean up the sand myself. Given the hefty cleaning fee (around $500-$600), the apartment should have been spotless, but it was far from it.
The windows on the balcony were filthy, which detracted from the stunning view. It was obvious they hadn’t been cleaned in months. The couch and chairs were visibly dirty, and the kitchen was cluttered with old, useless items, though it did have plenty of plates. Additionally, they didn’t provide trash bags, expecting guests to buy their own. The bedding was cheap, synthetic, and noisy—every movement in bed was disturbingly loud for my partner. Worst of all, there was mold on the kitchen air vent.
Overall, while the location and view are excellent, the apartment itself is old, dirty, and poorly maintained
