This was a very comfortable room. I was by myself and felt very safe. Kitchen was great and had all that I needed and slept great on the bed. Great mattress.

Worst renting experience I’ve ever encountered.

I stayed at Pirates Bay in FT. Walton beach for one week. (Jun 24-July 1st)The first day we get there I realize the fridge is not working at all and the sheets/ pillow cases/ bedding smelled like it had not been cleaned. So I decided I could clean the sheets myself so I did. The fridge being broke was out of my control though so I called the maintenance number and the lady said she would write a maintenance ticket and they would fix it. 3 days go by nobody showed up to look or fix the fridge. I call vacasa this time and the lady says they will send someone out. Two more days go by I call Vrbo and have a rep speak with a lady from Vacasa and she says they will get someone out there and she will call me back about reimbursement. Finally on the afternoon before we leave there is a different fridge plugged in in-front of the old one. (I am not happy or pleased). A day goes by and I’m finally back home and I call Vacasa to ask about the status of the reimbursement and I am told they will give me $25 a day for everyday the fridge was out.( I lost several hundred dollars worth of food between the groceries and leftovers I had to throw out everyday) So I was not pleased and asked for an explanation for that number and I was told AGAIN I would get a call back. Guess what? I never got a call back so I called today and was told the ticket is closed and I will not be reimbursed! Wow this whole experience has been awful, get a hotel or anywhere other than a Vacasa managed property.

Loved the space

The bed was soft, plenty of storage under the bed for anything, kitchen sink too small, burners were difficult to use but we managed. I appreciated the little extra things. We were close to the beach & not far from Destin Commons

Fort Walton visit

Check in process was excellent. Unit was as described. Enjoyed the stay and our time there. The only issue we really had was with whom ever was staying in the unit above us. It sounded like they were constantly moving furniture around.

Very Clean & Comfortable!

This property was beyond my STANDARDS. We were very comfortable. When we choose to take a Road Trip, I take my own linens and towels. I didn't need to unpack any of it!! If you are interested in selling this property, I would be interested in buying! ⁰

Very confusing. Couldn't find an office to check in. Didn't know we didn't have to.

The property itself is nice. We thought we would be overlooking a beach, but we were not an had to drive a couple of miles to get to a beach. Need more upfront information such as how to change linen, and ask general questions. No office.

In much need of updating!

Lumpy bed, uncomfortable couch, and laundry that you will question putting your clothes in. No Netflix as advertised but the worst part was no real way to lock the door from in the room. Vacasa staff entered the room twice, that I know of, without my approval.

Enjoyable stay

We had no real issues while staying in the condo at Pirates Bay. I was concerned after reading a recent review a few days before we left. The issues mentioned were 1. bugs by the microwave area and the owners must have sprayed because we didn't see any. 2. the sliding door not locking and the owners added a chain lock to the door. It is nice to know they pay attention to reviews and fix what is needed. It's nice that they care! What we really liked was this unit was right beside the pool which we used daily. We also enjoyed to docks and walking out to look at the water and we even had a dolphin come really close early one morning. The unit is cute, clean, and was plenty of space for just the two of us. I would be happy to stay here again. It is a quieter area with the hustle, crowds, restaurants, and shopping being a short drive away to enjoy.

I was very dissatisfied that the pool right in front of our room was closed.

We booked this room since the pool was right in front of the room but got there to find out it was closed. Had to walk through 2 lots to go swim at other complex. Should be listed in the description so people know.

Very nice, clean, and boat slip was very convenient and in great shape

Only problem was there was no boat slip available for my unit... Karen at the HOW came thru with a slip for us to use. The area for trailer parking was very convenient and accommodated my trailer (35') with no problem.
