“If you’re just looking for beds and a shower, it’s fine. We stayed in a family room that slept six. The beds were comfortable enough. However, the room was stuffy and there is no air conditioning. We tried to open the single window and discovered a lot of knats. So we smashed them and decided not to open the window since there are no screens. They did provide two fans in the room, so we made do with that for the one night we stayed. In the morning we went out to put our bags in the car...

“We enjoyed use of kitchen /dining space, which included tea, coffee, and proper dishes and utensils. We could store extra food in the refrigerator. The warming closet to hang up wet clothes was amazing. Bed was very comfortable. View of lake was lovely. Host was attentive. Great stepping off point for hiking.”

“It was a safe place to stay the night on our way to the Isle of Mull. It was not updated but clean. Lots of stairs which was typical. The staff on site was very helpful.”
