In this quiet, peaceful, and highly desirable location, you'll be close to beautiful waterfalls, gem mines (Franklin is the gem capital of the world), the Appalachian Trail, the Cherokee Casino, antique stores, and other shopping - whether in Georgia, Tennessee, or South Carolina! This home is so cozy and comfortable, offering everything you need to come back year after year.



    It's the ultimate viewing point, whether you're taking in the mountain range from the enormous picture windows or the large wraparound deck. Admire the breathtaking scene while grilling, sitting around the gas firepit, or simply catching up with your loved ones. Inside, this fantastic home radiates rustic charm, with exposed beams, wooden accents throughout, and a gorgeous rock fireplace in the living room. Curl up by the crackling fire and stream a favorite series on the smart TV, read a good book, or start planning your next adventure. The kitchen is the perfect blend of modernity and rusticity, with stainless steel appliances and beautiful cabinets. Hubby and I absolutely loved staying at black bear cabin! It was clean, cozy and those views are simply amazing! We appreciated all the little touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. We had no issues getting to the cabin in our extended F10 (NOT an AWD). You just need to take it slow on the turns. It was a rainy weekend and even the wet gravel caused no problem. The turn around in thr driveway is for sure something you will have to do, but we were able to do in the truck in 5 turns. Really not a big deal and only took a couple extra minutes. We most definitely will be back!

Great getaway with a wonderful sunset view. Road access is a little tricky when you meet oncoming traffic, but I guess locals are used to it.

We had a fabulous time in the mountains of Franklin and would absolutely stay here again. The road can feel treacherous for someone not used to it—my husband was comfortable driving it, but I definitely was not. That said, the outdoor space and the spectacular views were completely worth the drive. We were genuinely disappointed to leave and look forward to coming back next year!

It’s exactly as described, will be coming back. Close to town, great view, overall just great. If you’re reading other reviews and worry about the road to the cabin yes it is steep, your front wheel drive car might struggle but it can make it.

Relaxation

This cabin is close to town but private and quiet. Enjoyed the large deck while grilling and watching the birds, fireflies and even a little bat at night. Wonderful cabin that we loved so much we booked another trip back in March!

Great Cabin!

This cabin was so nice! The deck is awesome and where we stayed the majority of the time. Enjoyed the grill, fire pit table and deck lights! Close to the grocery store and a fully stocked kitchen. Would recommend and also stay here again.

Summer Getaway

The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The view is stunning. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The road up is a 1 lane gravel road with lots of sharp turns, however we never had an issue with vehicles coming in the opposite direction. We drove a 2020 mustang and put it in snow/wet for better traction and it was not a problem getting up to the cabin (other than my nervousness lol). We would definitely stay here again. Love the area.

Quiet retreat

The cabin was beautiful--inside and out. The location was just what we needed--quiet and peaceful, with a gorgeous view! The only suggestion I have is to put a couple of chaise lounge chairs on the deck for a relaxing view or just to take in the fresh mountain air.

Cabin was very clean and well maintained will all the expected amenities. Fantastic view quiet location. Property manager's business practices leaves a lot to be desired.

This was a fantastic cabin, can't say enough about how nice it is. Very clean, well equipped, love the layout and furniture and all the attention to detail inside. Amazing view from the deck outside, our family loved hanging out on it in the morning and evening after rafting and hiking. You won't be disappointed!!!

Perfect Getaway

Kevin is perfect they had everything you could possibly need except laundry soap. Mountain going up is very steep and the turnaround is very small but when when you get there. You do need an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive to get up the worth the drive

We had a wonderful stay at Black Bear cabin. It was clean and had everything that we needed except an ironing board/iron(which we purchased/left the board there). Close to everywhere we wanted to go. My only suggestion is that you mention the need for All wheel/4 wheel drive to get there as the road is steep, dirt/gravel with sharp turns. We would rent again!!

Birthday Getaway

Great location, view and total solitude. Long winding gravel road to the property. Be prepared to do a 5 to 10 pt turn around at the home as it is a small area. You also need to make sure to bring your own paper products, as we found out the hard way extra TP was not provided. But overall all this is a great place to stay and the view is awesome.
