The property is nice but there are some big issues that caused unnecessary stress during our short visit with our Marine son whom we won't be seeing for over a year after this visit. #1 issue is the treacherous driveway. If you rent a car or drive your own car beware of damage to your vehicle. The driveway has quit a large drop off immediately upon entrance to the property where the road meets the pot whole filled driveway with a big drop off that will cause the undercarriage of your car to hit. We ordered a delivery the day we arrived and the delivery driver got stuck trying to get out of the driveway. He was driving a sedan vehicle that kept scraping on the road at the top of the driveway because of the large drop off. It took him multiple attempts to get out and the loud scraping sound was awful. I hope his car is ok. I informed the owner of this but the issue was never addressed. We luckily rented an suv so it had a little more clearance, but the undercarriage still hit the ground quit a few times. The entry/exit from from the driveway is very unnerving, make sure u get a running start and exit on the left and enter on the right, it is a little less treacherous. 2nd issue- communication was terrible. He said it was because he wasn't getting the text alerts but I spent1 of my precious 2 days with my son stressing over not being able to get permission for my son's Marine buddy and wife to come and eat with us 1 night. They drove from S. Carolina to see our sons graduation and we only wanted to have them over for a few hours so they could say goodbye before leaving the country. We never got an answer until later that night and at that time I had already invited them over. Very uncomfortable situation. After our visit I have sent multiple messages which he kept saying he was busy and would address my concerns when he had time. It's been over 2 wks, nothing has been addressed. #3- beware, listing says home can sleep 12, but if u have more than 4 you will be charged $50 extra pp/ per night. We had 4 guests for 5 nights
and 5 for 2 of the nights. .We were charged an extra $250. When I asked what that fee covered he answered, the vrbo app automatically adds that fee for any number of guests over 4 people. That did not answer my question. Very deceiving. Washer is full of mold, made our clothes stink. dryer ridiculously loud. Sounds like a bad radiator belt. Can't talk while it's running, too loud to hear each other talking. GOOD LUCK
