The house has two floors. On the first floor, there is a living-dining room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The upper floor has three bedrooms, ideal for six people. It’s a cozy house with unique decor and furniture, all handmade by the owner using repurposed old objects and century-old wood. The house has all the amenities you need to unwind and relax. The house has Wi-Fi, making it ideal for people who work remotely or simply don’t want to disconnect completely, as well as Netflix for those who prefer to stay in. The house is located in Fresneda de la Sierra, a small village with a population of barely 20 people in the winter. The village is surrounded by mountains and forests, notably the “dehesa boyal,” a beautiful oak forest. It features a marked PR trail for hiking enthusiasts and various ancient trails. The Serranía de Cuenca region is pure nature—rivers, waterfalls, and wildlife await you. Adventure sports enthusiasts will find a wide variety of options here: via ferrata, rock climbing routes, canyoning, caving, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking… there are several multi-adventure companies in the region to guide you on your adventures. The region is considered one of the best places to view the night sky due to its low light pollution; in fact, there are several stargazing spots scattered throughout the area, one of which is right in the town itself. Some of the most visited sites in the Serranía are: La Ciudad Encantada, the source of the Cuervo River, Los Callejones de Las Majadas, La Hoz de Beteta, La Ruta del Mimbre, El Hosquillo Wildlife Park, and more. Another must-see is the city of Cuenca, a World Heritage Site located 42 km from the house. This city combines nature with culture and is sure to delight travelers. There are several restaurants in the region where you can sample traditional Cuenca dishes such as morteruelo, ajo arriero, alajú, or the Resolí beverage.
