"While cabin room is nice and the in-room shabu shabu dinner and in-room breakfast were very good, the whole stage was stolen by the fact the hotel charged me a cancellation fee for a canoe on the lake activity that I decided to cancel due to raining. All they could say is that is the hotel policy to apply an activity cancellation fee if I don’t cancel by 6 AM. They surely showed me some paper that I signed at check in that says so, but they didn’t do their best to make sure I was aware of this ridiculous rule. First because they didn’t leave me any paper to keep with the activity rules and conditions, so that I could double check and follow them later on, and second, at the time of booking the canoeing, they sent me a confirmation email that clearly says that cancelation fee shouldn’t apply in case of rain, and this email was the only document I could refer to after the check in. I believe the hotel should have taken accountability for such lack of linearity and transparency and I and tried the entire morning to explain my position to hotel staff, but the only answer I got was “this is hotel policy”, so I finally gave up and paid.
