“The breakfast menu al la carte was amazing!!! Great coffee , excellent service and facilities. Great location within the fort. No tv in room but isn't needed. Rooms are large with a desk and sitting area. Bathroom beautiful with claw foot bath, spacious shower area. Pool area is lovely for a quick dip. Staff go above and beyond. Top pick for accomadation.”

“Yara Galle Fort is a lovely boutique hotel in a good position for walking around the town. The bed was comfortable and it was lovely to have a fridge and toiletries provided. The Sri Lankan breakfast was the best we have had here and the staff were very helpful. ”

Although the surrounding area (3 km west of Galle Fort) is unassuming, the hotel itself is in a beautiful colonial style with every detail and unique decoration carefully thought through. The restaurant, just across the street and on the beach is also beautiful with excellent food. Highly recommended.”

“We had one night in Galle, and were lucky enough to get the ENORMOUS family room - an amazing experience for the entire family. As it was off season (late October), the hotel was quiet and there was some renovation going on, but it was beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely recommend! One thing I have to mention: The bedframe extends beyond the mattress and since it's dark wood, it's impossible to see in the dark - two of us came home with some pretty bad shin scrapes :) ”

“Such an incredibly beautiful property, the rooms had such beautiful Dutch old world charm. If you have the budget spurge and get the Admiral Suite. It’s huge!!!!!! I felt like a true queen with it all to myself. I also opted for the full board. As with many other I can confirm the food is outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a delightful stay. If you’re thinking booking just go ahead and book it. ”

“My room was not in good maintenance conditions. It flooded 3 times because of rain from the roof. I asked to change several times and they didn't. Spaces are very limited, humid and not good conditions of the walls. It was ground floor terrible noisy (kitchen, phones, etc)”
