“I cannot fault the Fingal hotel in any way. Booked this as part of our mini moon after getting married in Scotland and it really lived up to expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and engaging, giving us tips on sights and restaurants in the area. “Loved staying at Abbey Strand! Very historic building but with all modern conveniences. Quiet part of Royal Mile away from noise & traffic but easy walk to anywhere. No air conditioning but temps are generally cooler. Definitely recommend a stay when in Edinburgh.”

“We were obsessed with this hotel. It was so pretty and eclectic inside, great art and decor in the rooms. Staff was so nice and the breakfast was to die for. We did a very impromptu whisky tasting and learned a lot- it was better than the whisky tour we did earlier in the week. We were sad to go and can’t wait to visit again! ”
“Great apartment! Even nicer in person than I could have imagined from the photos, which already gave a good impression. Was pleasantly surprised to see my unit had two full bathrooms! For a one bedroom, that was awesome. Wish I could've stayed longer than a day, because it makes a nice retreat.
The base of the kitchen sink was the main thing noticeably dirty, which was unfortunate to see. But didn't take away from the whole experience. 15/1 and 15/2 have a deep stairway to get to the apt,...

Lo stabile con gli appartamenti non ha una reception, ma la sede amministrativa si trova sul lato opposto della strada a cinque minuti di cammino. Il personale è molto gentile ed è possibile lasciare il proprio bagaglio gratuitamente presso questa sede in caso di arrivo anticipato rispetto all'orario di check-in.

“Posizione perfetta, in pieno centro, lungo George Street. Difficile chiedere di meglio, a meno di non pernottare al Balmoral... Atmosfera giovane e divertente, servizio senza pecche, particolari di pregio e alcune piacevoli sorprese. Ad esempio: illuminazione ultratecnologica, telefono griffato, doccia di dimensioni incredibili, deliziose mele rosse di benvenuto, acqua in bottiglia gratuita, ecc. Super l'iPod con casse amplificate e una valanga di canzoni da ascoltare. Consigliabilissimo.”

The bathroom is bigger than the room itself, there’s not enough space to just be! A tiny shelf, a small one door wardrobe…
For more than 200€ a night (avg. of 4 nights) it’s a robbery!
The floor has never been cleaned in 4 days, when I arrived there was dirt on the bathroom floor and there it stayed the whole duration of the stay.
Also, the fixed shower head… can you not update to a flexible one? I know you are not used to bidet but that would be all people would need in order to avoid taking 2 showers a day, consuming tons of water.
I Did not buy the breakfast so i can’t judge on that, but I had to pay to leave the luggage on the last day (it’s 1 pound, but still…this have never happened before anywhere I travelled) "
