Girls weekend
We had such a wonderful trip. The property was beautiful. We even got to feed the goats!! The accommodations are very modern and updated. We had access to the porch and an outside gazebo. I would highly recommend this house. It was a dream!! The host was so sweet, brought us homemade bread. We would love to come back someday.

Doesn’t get any better than this!
We have been visiting the Buena Hill Homestead for several years. It has become our home away from home… our favorite little getaway. The property and house is absolutely immaculate, breath taking views, and ample space. Ruthy and her family graciously welcome us and make us feel so comfortable. My children love the animals and exploring the grounds. You won’t be disappointed with this stay.

Way Beyond Expectations- the BEST!
Fantastic updated apartment with 3 king primary suites with attached full baths. One of the most beautiful views in all of Pennsylvania. Host was wonderful and gracious- we can’t wait to return!

Sibling & Spouse Retreat
My brothers and all our spouses meet up once a year to visit, play games and see new places. We chose Buena Vista Homestead this year. It really is a farm in the beautiful Lancaster area surrounded by other farms. A very peaceful place with goats and chickens and a beautiful view. The house is beautifully designed and meticulously maintained. Extras like paper products and coffee/tea are provided with lots of towels. The host & hostess respond to questions quickly and ensure an enjoyable visit. All 6 of us highly recommend this location.

So beautiful, so friendly, we must return!
Ruthy was so amazing and welcoming to the place which is a plus all by itself. Then upon a late arrival which she graciously set out and left the lights on for us, we were so impressed with the fresh beautiful setup of all of the rooms and living spaces. High quality beds and bedding. The showers and tubs were fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed and the main downstairs room was just an inviting space to hang out and play games with the family ;-) The outdoor space we didn’t get to use as we had daily plans but it looked perfect to sit at and enjoy. We will do that when we return! Don’t hesitate to book this place. We have done many VRBO stays all over and this sets a high bar. Thank you Ruthy and family!

Absolutely Gorgeous!

The perfect getaway
Buena Hill Homestead is a perfect place to stay if your looking to rest. The farm is quiet and peaceful. The guest house is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. There was also a lovely treat of delicious homemade granola and yogurt waiting for us. Ruthy is the perfect host! We felt very blessed to be able to share their property for a few days.

Tranquil stay
This is our 3rd time staying at this beautiful house. We love the tranquillity of this location. We enjoy using the grill and fire pit at night. Seeing the animals and feeding them is definitely an added bonus. It’s always bittersweet leaving.

Wonderful guesthouse in Lancaster County
The guesthouse was sparkling clean and perfectly set up for our family. We stayed for 6 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! We planned day trips to the steam train in Strasburg, Longwood Gardens and to Hershey Park, but we were always happy to get back to the guesthouse. Our favorite part was sitting on the front porch at sunset and watching the fireflies appear.

Peaceful Piece of Paradise
Ruthy's home is stunning inside but the views that are surrounding it are breathtaking. We so enjoyed our stay as a family getting away from the pressures of everyday life and wandering around the local countryside. Heaven on earth!
The forever memories we made here with our kids and close family friend will last us all a lifetime! The farm and the location are even better in person and the hosts of this property are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Tons of special touches including handwritten notes and treats left for us when we arrived made it clear that we were welcome there. The property is modern, clean and homey - nothing was left undone here. Top notch! Letting the kids play on the farm and feed the goats and chickens were a highlight for all of us and we can't wait to return again to make more memories with our loved ones! Amazing Gem!
What an amazing gem nestled into the countryside, but within reach of amenities as desired. Ruthy was terrific at communication and did everything possible to make the stay enjoyable. Three master suites gave each couple the opportunity to feel pampered. The homemade granola, hand written notes, gorgeous pergola, and high end finishings from sheets/towels and furnishings were the cherry on the top! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Beautiful Place
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. It was very clean and the owners were lovely people. It's very peaceful and relaxing. My son enjoyed interacting with and feeding the goats. We enjoyed sitting by the firepit and watching the beautiful sunsets. Ruthy was very friendly. She made us some homemade sour dough bread. Ny the time we left it felt like we had been long time friends. We look forward to staying there again hopefully sooner than later.

Perfect in so many ways....
There are so many reasons why this property is so highly rated on here by guests. The property is stunningly beautiful. You can drive all around Lancaster County and I’m not sure that you can find a more beautiful location for your stay. At night you’ll have perfect sunset views of farmland with horses grazing in the pastures. The inside of the house was immaculate and extremely comfortable. If I tried to find a negative thing to say, I wouldn’t be able to. There is literally not one negative thing about this property. And to top it all off, Ruthy, who I unfortunately didn’t have the pleasure to meet, was so kind in all of our communications. She is like the icing on top of the cake. If you are thinking of booking this property, do not hesitate!

Absolute gem!
We had such a great time here! The place is brand new and so well designed, beds are very comfy and the bedrooms are spacious. But the real gem here is the outdoors - it's surounded by acres of beautiful farm land and the patio and backyard are so fun to sit in and enjoy the view. The kids also had a great time with so much outdoor space , the animals to feed and the fire pit. finally the hosts were really approachable and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back!

Amazing memorable family vacation
We spent a couple of nights with our kids at this rental. We couldn't get enough!! The place was unbelievably clean and organized (it looked almost as if it would brand new). The home is beautifully furnished and the view of the property is absolutely breathtaking!! The farm animals and dogs were an exciting treat for the kids (we spent most of the day on premises cuz they refused to leave). The hosts were very gracious and accommodating. We even got to have a cozy night out at the fire pit. Oh and the fresh eggs were a great bonus!!All and all it was a beautiful family trip that left us with the sweetest memories. I'd recommend this place easily to family and friends. Thank you for sharing your home

Wonderful Haven for Rest and/or Sightseeing
Just a wonderful stay! Everything on VRBO about this property is correct. You can not find a more comfortable place to stay when visiting Lancaster or roaming the country side. Provided an excellent location as our “home base” for traveling to various points and a great place to come “home to”. We traveled with two other couples. We each had our own large bedrooms with king beds and individual showers/tubs. There was a well furnished kitchen and kitchenette (second floor) that served us well for breakfast and occasionally dinner. The home is spotless and well cared for as is the entire property. My wife enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens each morning before we left for the day. You will not find a more gracious host than Ruthy. She and her husband Christian live on the property and she is wants to make sure your stay is pleasant and will answer any questions you have. She also provided a dozen brown eggs from her chickens which were delicious. We spent time with Ruthy and Christian. You will not meet two finer people. When you are planning to visit the Lancaster area for sightseeing or just for a time to relax, make this home you choice. You will not be disappointed. We look forward to returning to the House and see our “new” friends next time we are in the area.

Peaceful Vacation
This is our third time staying at Buena Vista Homestead. We absolutely love this vacation each year. My kids talk about it all year long. The property and house are immaculate. Ruthy and Christian are so sweet and hospitable. They are kind, patient, and accommodating with my children who want to do ALL the farm things while we are there, and I appreciate that so much. PA family vacation
Our stay at Buena Hill was one of the best vacations we've had. The owners went above and beyond what we've ever seen from a host. The house was immaculate, the farm was so beautiful and the hosts made us feel as if we were with family. Grandkids made friends immediately with the hosts' dogs, chickens, and goats - even helped collect eggs and feed the animals. We were within an hour of Hershey Park, Chocolate World, Turkey Hill Ice Cream factory, and only a very short drive to Lancaster attractions. The hosts preview a lot of attractions such as Sight and Sound so they can make good recommendations to their guests. Beds were very comfy, bathrooms were huge and very well stocked. Kitchen was also well stocked and we even had local yogurt and homemade granola for our breakfast. We will definitely book here again if we are in the area. Thank you Ruthy and Christian for making us feel so welcome!

Scenic and Peaceful
This is a beautiful, pristinely maintained farm guesthouse. Ruthy and Christian were wonderful, thoughtful hosts who surprised us with tasty homemade bread and jam and offers to start an evening fire in the firepit for us. We were able to pet the family goats and the play with the farm dogs, which we all very much enjoyed. It was great to have separate bathrooms for everyone and I, for one, greatly enjoyed the spa tub! The laundry machines, although small, were a welcome convenience. Thank you Ruthy and Christian for your gracious hospitality. We hope to come back!
